iPhone 4 in White Not Coming This Summer, Delayed Until Later This Year
Interesting. We can’t really put our finger on it, but if we had to try and guess, we would say that while Apple is making a bunch of money this year (so far), and they’re selling out of pretty much everything they’re manufacturing (like the iPhone 4), it just seems like things aren’t working as well as normal

Verizon Announces Second Quarter Earnings
Every year, around this time, pretty much every major company out there starts prattling off how much money they made (or lost), versus previous quarters, and last year’s results. It’s a great way to see where your company stands amongst the crowd, and obviously it’s good for the executives of those companies to see if their current strategy is working, or if things need to get switched around. When it comes to Verizon (which was still known as Verizon Wireless during the second quarter period), they’re having a good second quarter. Up first, is Verizon’s overall revenue. It’s up, year-over-year by 3.4%, and brings their total for the second quarter 2010 to $16 billion.

Samsung Haven for Verizon Announced
When’s the last time you saw an “old-school,” traditional clamshell flip-phone? Yeah, it probably really has been that long. Apparently Samsung wanted to get back into the game, because they’ve just announced the availability of the Haven, a traditional flip-phone that, for all intents and purposes, looks like it was ripped straight out of the past. Features wise, here’s what you’re looking at: a 2.2-inch display, adjustable font sizes, dedicated keys for the loudspeaker and ICE (In Case of Emergency). The ICE dedicated key is one that was pretty popular on Verizon’s device catalog, and it gives the owner the ability to add up to three contacts for emergency contact

ASUS, HTC, LG, Dell, and Samsung All Confirmed Windows Phone 7 Manufacturers
First thing you’ll notice about a few of those companies, is the fact that most of them are pretty much heavily invested in another mobile Operating System right now (Android). But that’s not stopping them from jumping onto the Microsoft train, though. Nor should it: these guys get more money by having more options, and while Android has been a great jumping-off point to get them into the public eye, they can now probably safely go back to their roots: Windows Mobile (heavily upgraded). Right now, Windows Phone 7 is still pegged at getting launched some time in the holiday season. So, that’s just a few months from now

RIM BlackBerry OS 6 Desktop Manager Gets Shown Off
Research In Motion is taking a very, very different approach when it comes to BlackBerry OS 6. Instead of keeping everything under the covers until its official release, it looks like the Waterloo-based company is doing just about everything in their power to get everyone excited about their next evolutionary mobile Operating System. And, truth be told, when compared to their previous endeavors, it looks like the sixth version is the charm. This time around, it’s BlackBerry OS 6’s Desktop Manager software for your computer. On the Inside BlackBerry blog, RIM has posted a series of new images to showcase the new features, as well as new layout of the prodigal software.

Exchange Server 2010 Email Abuse Prevention
In his article, “ Preventing Internal Email Abuse with Exchange Server 2010 ”, Paul Cunningham has stated,”… there is a lesser amount of attention given to preventing internal abuse of email systems. The risk of internal email abuse may seem low but for some organizations the risk is actually quite significant.” In Exchange Server 2010, one of the more interesting features that have been improved is that of Transport Rule Predicates and Actions. Using Transport rules an administrator can create a rule which will inspect messages for conditions specified in the rules.

AT&T to order 8M Windows Phone 7 handsets according to rumor
This is one rumor I am having a hard time believing. The rumor claims that AT&T has decided to order up 8 million Windows Phone 7 handsets . That is a ton of the devices when demand for Windows OS smartphones is traditionally low compared to other devices. I guess that AT&T is hoping WinPo 7 is much more popular than previous versions of Windows Mobile.
