Cases.com handing out free iPhone 4 silicone cases

So, you know how some folks are complaining that their iPhone 4 has a signal degradation issue when touching the antenna in a certain spot? Well, one simple way to solve it is to use an iPhone case, so that you aren’t directly touching the stainless steel band on the outer perimeter of the iPhone 4. The thing is, the Apple iPhone 4 Bumper case is $29, which is ridiculously overpriced. However, the fine folks over at cases.com are offering up a free iPhone 4 silicone LifeGrip case to anyone who asks. You do have to pay for shiping, but in the end, you are paying $3.73 total for a case that will get rid of any antenna-related reception issues, and protect your iPhone from drops as well

Bruce Willis Signature Scent Released

When I think of Bruce Willis I think of him covered in blood and gun oil, hollering, “Holly, Holly.” I do not think of fragrance when I think of Mr. Willis. Let me think, eau de Bruce might smell like a gym locker room, boxing club or car repair shop.

Apple App Store Suffers Hack Attack

Apple said Tuesday that it removed a seller from its online applications store after discovering that he gamed the store’s sales ranking system to make it appear as though his e-books accounted for 42 of the site’s top 50 electronics books. Apple said the hack was carried about by a developer named Thuat Nguyen. “His apps were removed from the App Store for violating the developer Program License Agreement, including fraudulent purchase patterns,” Apple said in a statement. The company did not provide details about how Nguyen managed to rig its sales data. Some observers are speculating that he merely manipulated sales figures, while others believe Nguyen may have actually gained access to App Store user accounts to make unauthorized purchases.

Mobile Marketing is Ripe with Opportunities

My 4th of July mobile marketing challenge was a huge success. People participating found mobile marketing happening and were so excited to be focusing on the opportunities in mobile. Interestingly, it seems that the opportunities are what we found the most. My specific results for the challenge (which was to keep track of every mobile marketing encounter over the weekend) included only two text message coupons.
