TomTom Looney Tunes Voices – Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew

TomTom is bringing a long list of favorites to the PND Voice market including Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam among others. The iconic characters will cost $12.95 and easily download to your TomTom through TomTom HOME. The voices come as a set of recorded directions and will offer you non-text to speech directions, so while the sounds recordings are going to offer you some fun, they won’t be telling you the name of the street ahead. The Looney Tunes group joins other great voices from the Star Wars collection

Three UK Meet – Still Getting It

Thursday evening at the Meza on Wardour Street was the venue. Upon arriving I got crossed off the list, entered the venue and caught a few familiar faces. Drinks were on offer, laptops on the side with the Three websites displayed. I hadn’t got me bearings quite yet when @stephenwing tapped me on the shoulder and said hello. With company, I headed straight to the bar

That was quick: New CEO In, N8 Shipments Delayed

Pre-order customers will receive the N8 in October. Here’s two Nokia fun facts for today: former Microsoft Business Division president Stephen Elop started his new job yesterday as Nokia CEO, while long-awaited N8 shipments have been delayed “a few weeks.” Coincidence? I think not! According to Nokia Conversations, the Official Nokia Blog (not to be confused with this one), customers who pre-ordered will receive their N8s in October, instead of late September. We have received a record number of online pre-orders for the Nokia N8.

Nokia Push And Burton – Pushing The Boundaries

Those of you who have your eyes and ears aimed the right direction will be familiar with the PushN900 stuff that happened previously. I covered one of the showcases which involved pole dancing robots, Kryten from Red Dwarf and the winners of the PushN900 hack competition (not in that particular order, nor with any nsfw activities either). Two of the winners, were my favourite – the Solderin Skaters and Kaping With the N900 videos below show what has been achieved by those hacks. Very impressive stuff

Wee Tree Light Up LED Car Air Freshener

“Spruce” up your car with a light up Wee Tree LED Car Air Freshener . It hangs from your rear view mirror like a normal air freshener tree but instead of giving off a questionably pleasant smell, this one twinkles like a Christmas tree. Technically it does have a smell- the fresh smell of natural cardboard. Yum. It’s time to replace those fuzzy dice.

Email Moderation Feature

Last year Exchange Server came out which featured several new capabilities. Many of these capabilities helped ease the management actions for email administrators. And in a blog written by Clint Boessen, about one of those new features called, “Email Moderation”, Clint discussed the benefits of having a moderator involved in the email review process . Email Moderation allows for a pre-review of email messages so that they may get forwarded with enough information for a full review to be complete.

Shopkick is like Foursquare in that you “check-In”, but it also has a game-like feel where you earn points for checking in, and for doing different tasks inside the store like scanning bar codes of marketed products, or by trying a new pair of pant on, depending on the store. What do you do with the points?

Welcome to part two in a series on securing email. In part one  we introduced the challenge, and three influences; compliance, technology, and support. In this post, we’re going to look at two of the prevailing methods for securing email exchanges between servers… the way two businesses might wish to secure the email exchanges between them to prevent eavesdropping or interception on the Internet. We’ll look at SMTP/TLS and at routing SMTP over a VPN connection, and look at the pros and cons of each method. In server to server solutions, we are looking at securing email exchanges between the MTAs controlling email for two different companies.
