Nokia N900 has arrived! Longest 2 hour wait to open a DHL package ever…

…The Nokia N900 has arrived at my house. Well maybe. I haven’t opened the DHL bag yet and won’t open it until I get home after lectures. I want the first time the N900 box is opened to be on film, ha. It may possibly be that there’s just a box inside, maybe even a mixup and it’s not an N900, heaven forbid! I literally have seconds to go before I have to leave for “Muscle Development in Drosophila melanogaster 2″

Amazon Kindle 2: Now with PDF support, 85% more battery life

In what we are guessing is an attempt to make the Kindle a bit more attractive when compared to the B&N nook , Amazon announced today that the Kindle 2 now ships with PDF support and a battery that lasts almost twice as long as previous Kindle 2s. The battery bump, in particular, gives you 7 days of use with wireless on as opposed to 4. Even cooler, though, is the fact that if you already own a Kindle 2, there will be a firmware update released over-the-air that will give you the same functionality, including the 85% increase in battery life! No date has been announced for the release of that update, but we’d be surprised if it didn’t arrive any day now. Gotta love competition.

Acer Liquid Launched in China

Acer today launched the Acer Liquid , an Android-powered smartphone running on Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, in Beijing, China. Unlike Motorola Droid that runs on Android 2.0, the Acer Liquid still runs on stable Android 1.6, which is kind of disappointing as the “Liquid” has 1GHz processing power and Acer failed to utilize it. The Acer Liquid doesn’t have any remodeled sexy User Interface; it just has a regular Android interface. Acer seem to think that Google’s battery management technology is sub par, and they replace the battery management with their own technology, which they said will provide longer battery life to this Android handset. The Acer Liquid will be launched in the first quarter of 2010 in China.
