Garmin Forerunner 210
Garmin’s new simpler GPS watch for running is the Garmin Forerunner 210 which is going to cost $300. Compared to the Garmin Forerunner 410 we just mentioned 210 lacks the ANT+ wireless technology for syncing to your computer and does not have the fancy bezel. However it is smaller and lighter and has an extra week of standby time. You’ve still got the high-sensitivity GPS receiver with Garmin’s HotFix technology, and the ability to set up heart rate alerts to notify you when you are above or below your targets. When you’re in training mode the battery should get you about 8 hours, and by then you really should be done with your first marathon

Samsung Omnia 7 i8700 caught on video, Windows Phone 7 obviously included
It looks like the Samsung Omnia 7 is, indeed, the same device as the i8700 (appeared on the Web more than once until now). The smartphone stars in a newly-leaked video, which shows its Windows Phone 7 UI (in Italian) and the Omnia 7 label at some point. It looks like Samsung, like HTC , is adding some sort of customization to its Windows Phone 7 devices – some kind of hub for showing news, weather and other info.

Keep in Play – The Thirty Second Challenge
Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire! Keep in Play by Garuda Force Corporation is an interesting game that pits the addictive nature of a simple repeat task against challenging parameters. As part of a charming story line about a kingdom plagued by flaming meteors, Keep in Play requires players to keep one or more “meteors” on the screen for 30 seconds by drawing lines to contain them

Worst Mobile Ideas Ever
It’s always nice to receive a compliment to brighten our day and make life’s hardships a little easier to take, and for those who don’t have a special someone who already does this, Awesomenessreminders.com suggests they help. The idea is that subscribers get a phone call each and every day for that month telling them just how awesome they are, or a personalized message of their choosing. While it doesn’t hurt to get a little positive reinforcement once in a while, could this be the worst thing offered in mobile phones in recent years? Here are ten more possibly terrible ideas our creative brains have come up with over the past decade: I Am Rich . This app hit the headlines in 2008, when developer Armin Heinrich released the software at a cost of $999.99, and racked up a total of 6 sales in the US before being pulled from the iPhone store the day following its release.

Motorola Defy to be launched on October 21 in Europe?
Motorola Defy , the company’s second rugged Android smartphone, was officially unveiled in early September. At that time, it was only mentioned that the handset would be available in the fourth quarter of the year, so no exact launch date was given. Well, the launch date (in France, at least) might be October 21.

Nokia N8 vs iPhone 4 – The smartphone camera shootout
Nokia is in a tough spot with its Nokia N8 Symbian^3 superphone . The N8 is, without a doubt, the best Symbian handset ever made by the Finns, and it’s easily one of the best (if not the best ) cameraphones in the world – a feat not easily accomplished in the crowded smartphone/cameraphone market. But, if you were to put the N8′s Symbian^3 UI up against the likes of iPhone and Android, it becomes clear that the new Nokia flagship isn’t quite up to speed with other modern smartphone operating systems

Ballmer confirms Windows 7 tablet, it may come from Acer
The tablet space (re)invented by Apple’s iPad is heating up. For months after the iPad’s release and great sales success we’ve heard that many competitors will start showing up sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. But while the Samsung Galaxy Tab was already unveiled and is expected to ship soon, RIM’s PlayBook and HP’s WebOS-powered PalmPad will only be available next year. The Chinese-language Commerical Times now reports that Acer is prepping a Windows 7 tablet to be launched before the end of this year. The Taiwanese computer maker is also said to launch Android 3.0 Gingerbread tablets in Q1 of next year.

Christmas is a happy time for everyone except poor old Chuck. For Charlie Brown has a sad little pathetic Christmas tree. And lots of back pain from trying to kick that football and having it taken away at the last minute each time. Now you can have your own 18” replica of the tree featured in the film that makes a nostalgic decoration for any room or office cubicle. The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree is guaranteed to make your own tree look even better when placed nearby.

Billionaire Tom Siebel shows off his elephant-trampled iPhone
Like most of you, the main reason I’ve decided to not become a billionaire is the dramatically increased risk of elephant trampling. It just doesn’t seem worth it. Still, there are SOME who are brave enough to risk being gored by an elephant and having their foot twisted backwards, dangling by 2 tendons in

Australia’s Telstra launching T-Touch Android tablet in November (is this the Huawei S7?)
If Telstra’s commitment to Android wasn’t obvious yet, here’s an official confirmation that the carrier intends to launch its own Android-based tablet as soon as November (to compete with Optus’ Dell Streak and the Samsung Galaxy Tab). Called Telstra T-Touch Tab, the device is a mystery for now, although we can see a bit of it over at the Australian carrier’s website. AusDroid suggests Tesltra’s tablet is a rebranded Huawei SmaKit S7 (pictured below), arguing that Telstra offers quite a few Huawei devices under its own brand
