BlackBerry Pearl 3G Review
When the original BlackBerry Pearl was announced back in 2006, it caused quite a stir. Until that point, BlackBerry handsets were rather large, and chunky, and very wide. But then came the Pearl, and suddenly Blackberry handsets were almost the size of a normal mobile device. The size issue with Blackberry handsets was caused by the inclusion of full QWERTY keyboards, and whilst handsets these days with full QWERTY are a much more manageable size, something like the Pearl still has a place in the pocket of some mobile users.

Are you really a Proclaimer, or are you just holding an iPhone awkwardly over your eyes?
I’m actually a real asian male, but with I’m Proclaimer loaded in front of my face, I look positively Scottish (like those guys from the Proclaimers). I’ve played the song “ 500 Miles ” well over 500 times in my lifetime, and so I thought I owed it to the band to check out their first app in this ultra quick review. Advantages : Two whole Proclaimer faces to choose from Increased kilt-wearing ability Genuine blinking action Disadvantages : Temporary loss of sight and mobility Punches to the face can now destroy iPhone Cannot load I’m Proclaimer *and* Voice Band simultaneously (real singing voice still required) Sure, I’m Proclaimer is just a marketing trick to spread the word of the band’s real upcoming app, iProclaimer , but it worked on me. The website is even going to offer a version of the app that comes with a free roll of tape (to save you the trouble of holding the iPhone up to your face — hands-free impersonating!) © Ragart for Just Another iPhone Blog , 2010.

Chinese phones banned in India for security reasons
After the banning of IMEI-less phones last December , India’s government has now decreed the banning of all phones produced by China-based companies. According to Global Telecom Business , the Indian government is concerned about the fact that phones from China could come with “spyware or malware that offers intelligence agencies across the border access to telecom networks in India” – and that’s the reason for the ban. Manufacturers like ZTE and Huawei , which used to sell lots of phones across India , will certainly be affected by the decision. Indian telecom operators are also put in a difficult situation, as many of them have ordered phones from Chinese manufacturers and now they have to search for other suppliers.
