O+ Music Release Concept By David Riesenberg

Designer David Riesenberg just sent us details of his latest design concept, called O+ Music, which is designed to be used for promotion of a new single. O+ Music is four things in one, a vinyl record, a CD, a USB drive, and an iTunes music code, all of which have the same music track on them and allow you to listen to the track in a range of different ways. Here is what David has to say about O+ Music, and whilst he states that it may not be a cost effective way to distribute music, is certainly would be a great way to promote a single, and we think it is an interesting and innovative idea

Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Gets Delayed

Yesterday the Chronic Dev Team were due to launch the Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 jailbreak for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, unfortunately it has now been delayed, because of the recent release of Limera1n. The Chronic Dev team have decided to delay the release, because the Limera1n jailbreak uses a different exploit that the SHatter exploit that was going to be used in Greeenpois0n. If the Chronic Dev Team had released Greenpois0n using the SHatter exploit, Apple would have a chance to patch it, and the LimeRa1n exploit, but by holding off they are saving the SHatter exploit for a future date, which makes it better for the jailbreaking community. Instead the Chronic Dev Team are working on Greenpois0n using the same exploit that GeoHot has used in Limera1n, you can see what they had to say about his release below

Nokia C7, world’s second Symbian^3 device, starts shipping to customers

The Nokia C7 is now shipping to customers according to an official press release . This comes less than 2 weeks after the news that the N8 started to ship, meeting the planned deadline of “Q3 2010″ by the narrowest of margins. Unlike the N8 however, the C7 was announced less than a month ago, on September 14th , making this one of the quickest turn arounds I’ve ever seen of a Nokia device

Google Testing Self Driving Cars

Google [GOOG] is testing out some self driving cars, which are able to drive around on their own without the need for a driver, although there is someone sat in the drivers seat of the car. Google’s self driving car is equipped with some artificial intelligence software, plus a rotating sensor in its roof, which is capable of scanning up to 200 feet in all directions, which creates a 3D map of what is around the vehicle. The cars are actually modified Toyota Prius, and you can see one in action in the video below, and although it may look like there is a driver behind the wheel, he is just sat there and the onboard computer is doing all the driving. via Cnet , PC Mag Image Credit: Chris Matyszczyk/CNET Video Credit: Scobelizer

Ultrasone Edition 10 $2,750 Headphones

By David Ponce It’s making-fun-of-audiophiles-time again! We never cease to be amused by what passes as acceptable marketing material when trying to justify astronomic price tags of some high end audio equipment. Take these $2,750 Edition 10 headphones from Ultrasone: [They feature] open-back ear cups with galvanic Ruthenium plating and a Zebrano wood inlay, Ethiopian sheepskin leather ear cup pads, Titanium-plated 40mm drivers, silver-plated OFC 99.99% pure copper wires with Kevlar casing, S-Logic Plus technology… We actually reviewed a set of Ultrasone headphones way back in 2006 and found them to be a little meh. Then again, they were only a $150 model and certainly didn’t have any of that douchetastic look to them, so perhaps are different? Full press release and links after the break.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Sports “Pr0n” Button

By David Ponce I have a Romanian friend who’ll get a kick out of this. See, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a great product and everything, but what really sets it apart is a snazzy “Porn” button. While awesome (and incredibly juvenile… lulz), pressing it won’t take you, well… where you might think. In fact, a closer inspection of the above picture might alert you to the fact that this particular Galaxy Tab is not in English

Opinion: Why I jailbreak (and you should too)

There’s a lot of reasons why people jailbreak their iPhones. We’ve talked about many of them before and I thought with the recent release of limera1n (thanks Geohot … and of course the Dev Team!) it might be a good time for me to reflect on the reasons I held off from upgrading to 4.1 for the past while awaiting a jailbreak for this latest iOS version and why I jailbreak in general.
