We’ve covered a few stories here on Geeky Gadgets about attempts to recreate Marty McFlys self-lacing Nike sneakers from the second Back to the Future 2 movie. Nike has even tried to recently patent the self-lacing design . Well you can now go one better and own the actual pair of 2015 sneakers worn during filming. There are still a few hours until Microsoft kicks off its Windows Phone 7 launch event , but Samsunng and LG have went ahead and already announced two WP7 devices: the Samsung Omnia 7 i8700 and the LG Optimus 7 . The Omnia 7 i8700 has been announced by Samsung Russia , which unveiled some of the smartphone’s features, including: 4 inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, “Metro UI”, Wi-Fi, Xbox Live, Zune, 5MP camera with LED flash, 8GB of on-board memory, and 1GHz Qualcomm processor. The price and launch date of the Samsung Omnia 7 are yet to be disclosed. The Optimus 7 has been mistakenly announced in a post over at LG UK’s official blog

Just shortly after Nokia started shipping the N8, it has now started shipping its second Symbian 3 smartphone, the Nokia C7 . The Nokia C7 features a 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen display, and it seems like a pretty slim smartphone, measuring just 10.5mm thick. The C7  smartphone comes with 8GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB microSD cards, giving you a total of 40GB of storage. The Nokia C7 features an eight megapixel camera, that is capable of recording HD video in 720p. It also features a battery that will give you up to 9.5 hours of talk time and up to 27 days of standby time

The Samsung Transform, a new Android-powered smartphone announced last week at CTIA in San Francisco, is now available for purchase from Sprint. The phone features a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display as well as dual cameras for full video conferencing support. The Transform is also compatible with Sprint ID packs, which allow you to quickly add packages of apps, ringtones, and home screen configurations to your phone.

The guys over at Engadget have obtained some detrails on the roadmap for UK mobile carrier Three, and details found in the roadmap point to a date of the 21st of October 2010 as the release date of Windows Phone 7. We have already see the new LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone 7 handset outed early by LG this morning, and we suspect that that handset could be available around the same date as the one featured with three mobile. As soon as we get some more information, on when the official launch date for Windows Phone 7 is here in the UK we will let you guys know. via Gadget Venue

When GeoHot released his Limera1n iOS 4.1 jailbreak over the weekend he caused quite a bit of upset in the jailbreaking community, which led the Chronic Dev team to delay the release of their Greenpois0n jailbreak . Now it seems that as well as being able to jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, Limera1n is also capable of jailbreaking the new Apple TV . Erica Sadun from TUAW has confirmed this as she was able to get her Apple TV into DFU mode and jailbreak it using Limera1n, although there is not much you can do with the new Apple TV as yet as no one has managed to egt any apps to run on it as yet.
