Review: Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go Wireless USB Modem
One thing modern technology and being a gadget freak brings is lots of monthly bills. iPhone, Netflix, Satellite, home internet. When you think about it, it seems we are being nickel and dimed to death with monthly charges. Being a father of two and earning a meager wage, the addition of more of these monthly charges is not an option. There are many new mobile internet devices that look compelling, but I never can work the monthly fees into my budget. Enter Virgin Mobile’s Broadband2Go. Virgin Mobile was kind enough to send me a Broadband2Go Wireless USB Modem to try out. The big difference in the Broadband2Go offering is the lack of monthly or annual charges. The service is pay as you go and offers several options starting at $10. This is exactly what I needed. There are times I would like to be wireless for a trip or during certain sports, but I am not willing to pay for the services the entire year. With the Broadband2Go Modem, I am able to pay for what I think I will use without a contract or any attachments

AT&T gives the iPhone 3GS a price cut
Maybe your current iPhone is falling apart at the seams or perhaps something about the iPhone 4 just rubs you the wrong way, we don’t know, but in case you’re desperate to get a new iPhone today, AT&T has announced it has cut the contract price of both the 16 and 32GB models. The 16GB model now goes for $149 while the 32GB goes for $199. It’s probably not the most wise decision to grab one considering what’s going down in 18 days , but this is definitely your last shot at getting a 3GS before it gets its capacity neutered down to a measly 8GB . Math Monday: Mathematical beading
By George Hart for the Museum of Mathematics Beading is a traditional craft which recently has been applied to make interesting mathematical models. Here are some impressive examples by Bih-Yaw Jin , starting with a beaded Mobius strip. A beaded helical surface twists through space like a cork screw. All five Platonic solids are shown here, using beads for their edges: octahedron, cube, tetrahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron

FaceTime: Video chat come to iPhone 4
Apple just announced that the iPhone 4 will include a new video chatting feature called FaceTime. FaceTime allows you to chat with other iPhone 4 owners on video, using the front-facing camera on the device. In order to initiate, you must first make a phone call to the person you want to chat with. Once you are connected, you can then go into a video call. Both parties must be connected to Wi-Fi in order for it to work

iPhone OS 4 renamed iOS 4
Apple has decided to retire the iPhone OS name with version 4.0, as they’ve just announced at the WWDC 2010 keynote. The new name will be iOS 4. It makes perfect sense, since the iPad runs iOS as well (as does the iPod touch,) and isn’t a phone.
