Myxer Now The 7th Largest US Mobile Website, Set To Exceed 40M Users & 2B Downloads
Building on the immense popularity of mobile content consumption these days, Myxer has become one of the largest mobile sites in the US. The company said recently that it’s now the seventh largest US mobile Website, and is on track to exceed 40 million users by the end of October. With these numbers, Myxer now reaches an estimated 15% of all US mobile Web users. The company got on the mobile content bandwagon long before it became the mega-industry it is today, and Myxer put in place several key content partnerships early-on to solidify its leading position.

Concept Alarm Clock Pillow Will Wake the Soundest Sleeper
I learned from an early age living with a brother than when the alarm went off in the mornings you had better get out of bed in a hurry if you expected to have any hot water or good cereal left. I have never had a hard time waking in the morning, but my wife does. She is worse than any kid about getting up

Windows Phone 7 Network Exclusives
For some people the launch of a new phone can be something to look forward to, until you hear that a network you are not with gets the exclusive of a handset you’ve been patiently waiting for. What do you do? Jump ship, or stick with what you’ve got? It’s not an easy decision, all networks are not the same, and it leaves consumers with a difficult decision to make.

HTC 7 Pro first hands-on!
There aren’t many CDMA Windows Phone 7 phones hanging around the WP7 launch event, but Sprint’s 3.6-inch HTC 7 Pro ended up in our warm hands just moments ago. Sadly, HTC didn’t have a working unit (no IMDb demos for you!), but we did get to check out the hardware and its extremely comfortable five-row QWERTY keyboard — with clicky keys, a dedicated number row, and a properly staggered layout for once. As for the slider mechanism, it’s quite sturdy, and we’re definitely digging HTC’s good old tilt capability, here in its finest iteration yet — whereas previous devices typically floated the screen somewhere above the keyboard, here the front lip actually sinks into the phone’s frame for extra stability and class.

geek builds lego mindstorms t-shirt folding robot
The most complex thing I ever built out of a set of LEGO bricks was a police station, and I did that following the directions. Real hard-core LEGO fans don’t need no stinkin’ instructions, and can turn their Mindstorms LEGO sets into robots that do things I won’t do for myself, like fold a t-shirt. I am not the folding stuff up sort of guy. I tend to cram things in drawers so they come out looking like one of those packing noodles when I want to wear them. Sometimes you can’t even iron all the wrinkles out, but at least I don’t have to fold crap

apple patent hints at magsafe connector for iphone and ipad
I use an iPhone, but I am not a huge fan of Apple’s computers. I prefer Windows, but I will admit to being jealous of the cool MagSafe connector that MacBooks have. I have snagged my deckchair on the cord to my notebook before and ripped the thing off the desk damaging it in the process, so I can appreciate a breakaway cable

Limera1n Troubleshooting Tips
Now that the new limera1n jailbreak from geohot has been out for over 24 hours, we’re beginning to get a little feel for how it’s going – via comments on the site here, iPhone forums, and Twitter. My impression is that there are few if any major bugs being reported with this new jailbreak. Just about all the issues I’ve seen reported are with doing the actual jailbreak itself. So I thought this might be a good time to share a few tips we’ve gathered up that should help you achieve jailbreaking success with limerai1n. Hit the jump for a few good ones … (…) Read the rest of Limera1n Troubleshooting Tips © PatrickJ for Just Another iPhone Blog , 2010

creative mom + milk jugs = stormtrooper mask of awesome
I don’t’ spend much time looking at trash around my house thinking about ways I can reuse the stuff. I mostly just worry about the bag of trash leaking a line of milk or Dr. Pepper on the floor as I sprint to the door to take the bag to the can outside. Some folks look at garbage and see something more

Willy Wonka ’3-Course Meal’ Gum A Reality?
Remember the scene (that I so lovingly screencapped) from Willy Wonka where Wonka shows those ungrateful little turds the gum that has a three-course meal packed inside ? Well apparently a non-nutritive version of the gum is on it’s way. Damn girl, your breath be kickin’. *sniff* IS THAT ROAST BEEF?! Researchers have developed a technology that allows different flavours to be captured inside microscopic capsules, which can be designed to release the flavours at different times. Some of the capsules could be filled with flavouring for tomato soup that would break open on contact with saliva, while tougher capsules would contain the flavour for roast beef that would break open as the gum is chewed

LG Optimus 7 Hands On [Video]
So far, the devices featuring Microsoft’s brand new mobile Operating System, Windows Phone 7, have been all top-notch in their manufacturing.
