Tank Battles in Suburbia , from Cloud Scissor , is a dark, but funny, take on the classic tank shooter. Hop into a tank and start blasting away, not just at other tanks but also at pricey homes, cop cars, warehouses, fast-food restaurants – in short, everything in sight. When the battle ends, you’ll see in dollars and cents just how much collateral damage you’ve caused. Picture yourself in one of eight towns with names like Edison, Montclair and Summit, where you can rampage in Campaign or Custom Game modes. Samsung SyncMaster LD220 review

The 21.5-inch, 1080p SyncMaster LD220 can be used either in conjunction with a laptop or as a stand-alone monitor. It doesn’t offer many configuration options and it’s not a great choice if you’re a gamer, but its sleek design and USB connectivity make it a decent option for more general use

T-Mobile replacing BlackBerry Pearl trackballs

Have you experienced problems with your BlackBerry’s trackball? I wouldn’t be surprised if you did. The trackball mechanism is composed of a number of small parts, and that leaves plenty of room for things to go wrong. In the past we’ve gone over how to clean your trackball and, if it comes down to it, how to replace your trackball .

iCelebrate ~ Valentine’s Day Wants to Win Your Heart With Music

Who doesn’t love a good love song, smooth jazz, or a little R&B? OK, probably plenty of people – especially as Valentine’s Day approaches and those with contempt for the hopelessly romantic and barrage of candy hearts and chocolate flowers that celebrate them are reminded of the pending day in every store. The App Store to is filled with reminders of the pending love fest, and  iCelebrate ~ Valentine’s Day will help you celebrate or, as the case may be, rue the day alongside a quart of chocolate chip ice cream. Much like Conduits Technologies, Inc.’s iCelebrate ~ Christmas, which I’m sad to say I missed, iCelebrate ~ Valentine’s Day is a holiday countdown with streaming music and animated backgrounds. You can choose to stream specific genres, including love songs, smooth jazz, easy listening, and R&B or stream them all

BlackBerry News From The Wire for the Week of 1/25/2009

When we changed formats over a year ago and stopped doing daily news in favor of this weekly feature, I fancied it like a network news program. We’d run down all the things relevant to our local niche. One of my favorite parts about network news — well, my only favorite part, since I don’t watch the actual programs — is the teaser they play in the hours before. “Is your breakfast cereal making your children dumber? Story at 11.” This week we can see such a teaser: “Will the BlackBerry be banned in America

Backup your BlackBerry over the air with Aurkon

iPhone 3G VoIP Ban Lifted by Apple?

Apparently Apple has now updated the iPhone SDK to enable the use of VoIP over a 3G network, which is a nice turnaround for those who want to use VoIP on their iPhone by using the iCall application for iPhone. According to an article over on prnewswire , iCall for iPhone is the only VoIP app which works on the iPhone over cellular 3G networks and is only one of a very few which Apple has allowed on the iPhone platform. So it now seems that there’s been a bit of a turnaround where VoIP is concerned with the iPhone as previously VoIP was only enabled to work over WiFi for some reason or another which had caused several heated debates in the past. So maybe Apple has finally opened their ears and listened to their iPhone owners and made iCall for iPhone available, which can be gained as usual from the iPhone iTunes App Store for free as of right now.
