The HTC DROID Incredible for Verizon Wireless is the carrier’s latest and greatest Android-powered smartphone. It has all the makings of a great smartphone, including an AMOLED touchscreen and a 1GHz processor, and, as you’ll be able to tell in this review, Todd was quite taken with it. I was recently looking into preserving the screen on my Nokia 5800 from scratches and similar. Being slightly OCD about these sort of things I searched around on Google for reviews and recommendations, without a real conclusive decision made, I headed over to Ebay to find out for myself. Looking through various different solutions, I opted for what looked like a bargain; 3x Mirror Screen Protector with accompanying cleaning cloth for £1.59 .
Conceptronic Grab’n'Go Full HD Media Player review
The Grab’n'Go is a very good 1080p media streamer. Its design is appealing, it handles video brilliantly and it offers impressive codec support. It’s more expensive than some of its rivals, but it’s extremely easy to connect to your network and it supports USB storage devices too
Apple’s latest 15-inch MacBook Pros look similar to their predecessors in terms of appearance, but their innards have received a welcome power boost. We’d still like to see an HDMI port, Blu-ray drive and 3G connectivity, but the high-end model that we reviewed delivered pleasingly powerful performance

Since I’ve been using the Pre for over a week now, I’ve managed to get more and more familiar with WebOS and am enjoying it more and more. It combines many things found on today’s hottest mobile OS’ around – Android and iPhone OS. WebOS is highly underrated mainly due to the mediocre hardware it is being forced to run on, and the fact it’s creators Palm have done a poor job of distribution and made many mistakes when launching. There are various factors why Palm’s Pre and Pixi are not successful, but that doesn’t necessarily mean WebOS isn’t great to experience. Both iPhone and Android users will be arguing why WebOS is inferior to their respective OS’ but the fact is, WebOS has the best of both worlds and is all round more polished and the experience is very very impressive
Navigon Mobile Navigator for iPhone – “Price Justified”
Wireless week has a review of the Navigon MobileNavigator for the iPhone and has come to the conclusion that companies with expertise in the area are well suited to commanding higher prices over the current crop of free navigation out there. The Navigon MobileNavigator is one of the more advanced iPhone Apps out there with available ($25/yr) realtime traffic provided by Inrix, and available 3-D contour maps. These aren’t exactly TOPO maps like you have on you handheld GPS, but instead maps that offer a little bit of texture to see some, hills, dips and valleys.
The second-generation MinoHD mini-camcorder shoots the same impressive 720p video as its predecessor. But it also offers a sleeker body, more storage space and an HDMI port on the bottom for connecting it to a high-definition TV. It’s fantastically easy to use and marvellously pocketable too

Dual XGPS300 GPS and Battery Cradle for the iPod Touch
The new Dual XGPS300cradle for the iPod touch offers a couple of features for the intrepid navigator that might just help them get around a bit more easily. The Dual cradle is designed with a GPS and an extended battery in it to grab the GPS signals and allow you to do it for a more than the short time the iPod Touch battery would normally allow. When you buy the cradle, Dual’s NavAtlas App is a free download that offers some good looking features, including Text to Speech, Navigate to addresses in your contacts list, realistic 3D views, built in maps but comes in a bit light on Points of Interest at 2 Million. CNet just posted a review on the unit, and the system has its strong points, and seems to be suited for those who really want navigation on the iPod Touch
I’ve recently got my hands on these two devices , they’ve both intrigued me, each in their own way, whilst one was successful on launch the other has struggled to make sales. Many factors have played their part on this issue, something perhaps for another post
BlackBerry 9650 spotted in the wild again, ‘Bold’ branding confirmed
BlackBerry 9650 spotted in the wild again, ‘Bold’ branding confirmed The Tour branding never made a lot of sense — RIM’s most recently-released high-end portrait QWERTY device for CDMA networks occupies the same market position as the Bold over on GSM networks, so the name difference is kind of arbitrary and more than just a little bit confusing. It’s all good, though, because CrackBerry has confirmation here that the Tour’s replacement — the 9650 — is going to be wearing a Bold badge loud and proud around back by the 3.2 megapixel camera. It’s not clear exactly when Sprint and Verizon are going to launch this sucker, but it’s patently obvious that they both will — it’s just a matter of time — so you may as well start prepping your eulogy for that infernal trackball now.
Vertu Signature Pure Black Vertu has introduced its latest handset, the Signature Pure Black which is specially handcrafted thanks to the PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) technique that is currently being used in watches. This will require vaporizing a block of Titanium Carbide at extremely high temperatures using a plasma beam in a vacuum chamber, where the resulting PVD coating makes sure you are the recipient of an extremely rugged surface which is nigh impossible to scratch unless Wolverine comes along.
MDO Avatar G580 Android-powered handset The MDO Avatar G580 is yet another smartphone which is powered by the Android operating system, where it does resemble the HTC Hero although it is missing out on a chin. Measuring a mere 10.7mm thin, you will find a relatively slow 600MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor running within accompanied by a 3.2′ 320 x 480 resolution HVGA display, 256MB RAM, 256MB ROM, Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD memory card slot. There is no trackball with this handset, so you will have to make do with the typical direction button instead. No idea on its availability since MDO has kept mum on the issue, although it is going for 1,900 Yuan in China.

Samsung Moment 2 with Sprint branding and TouchWiz 3.0 peeks out
Samsung Moment 2 with Sprint branding and TouchWiz 3.0 peeks out The Samsung Moment is due to get Android 2.1 sometime in the near future , but it looks like it’s also going to get a bit of a refresh — check out this pic of a Sprint-branded Moment 2 that’s said to have TouchWiz 3.0 on top of Android 2.1. Unfortunately, the same source says this thing doesn’t have Sammy’s new Super AMOLED screen , so we’d assume it doesn’t have that new faster processor from the Galaxy S either — all of which means the HTC EVO 4G is still really the Sprint device to wait for. But hey, maybe you love TouchWiz? Is that a thing
