Nokia USB TO GO demo pic

Lucky Ahmed360from arabnokia (via finestfones ) has posted a shot showing Nokia N8′s USB TO GO in action. You’ll see it’s recognized and you can navigate the files all from the N8. This means you can plug in memory sticks (possibly larger powered external hard drives) and manage files with your N8. Great if you’re in need of some files from a friend’s memory stick but there’s no intermediate PC at hand for transfer.

Star Wars Voices Coming To TomTom GPS

Beginning this month, GPS giant TomTom will be releasing one Star Wars character a month whose voice will be available for $13 download to guide you to your destination. They kicked it off with Darth Vader , but next is C-3PO, followed by Yoda and Han Solo. You can hear some previews of the Vader voice HERE or hit the jump for a little video of what it was like having him in the recording studio. Vader actually sounds pretty good, and I have a man-crush on Han so he’s cool, but Yoda with all his backwards talk would get me lost as shit.

HTC EVO 4G in Oprah Winfrey Hands Before Release Date

We have a video below showing Oprah Winfrey fondling around with the new HTC EVO 4G well before its release date. Cannot believe she has one already, but then she is the TV icon who can have what she wants. Would have been so much better if she had loads of these smartphones and gave some away to her audience. This is part of the No Phone Zone Day 2010 because the text message she shows says so, there is not a lot to go on other than watching the video below that we found via Engadget .

iPhone 4G / HD Apple Clone, would you buy it?

Since the Gizmodo Apple iPhone 4G / HD prototype saga it seems clone makers are coming out of the woodwork to produce copies, the question is “Would you buy these clones?” personally we would not. The iPhone 4G that Gizmodo had was taken apart bit-by-bit and revealed quite a lot, and this one we are showing here thanks to micgadget is very much similar

Review: iPad Camera Connection Kit

Unlike many of Apple’s devices, the iPad has seen a host of accessories released along with it.  In the past Apple has relied mostly on its third party manufacturers to create cases and other peripherals for the iPhone, iPod etc.  For the iPad Apple is offering a case, a power adapter, a dock, a keyboard dock, a display adapter and the camera connection kit, the last which we’re going to look at today. Right about now you’re probably asking yourself, “what do I need the camera connection kit for?”  And I did the same thing as I stood in the Apple store looking at it on the rack.  The best answer I could come up with

Umbro Look to set Record on Foursquare

Foursquare is a mobile service that recently has started to gain a lot of popularity with a certain section of mobile users. You may well have seen various updates from friends on Facebook and Twitter detailing places where they have just ‘checked in’ to. By checking in at various locations you can earn ‘badges’ through the foursquare service; check in more than anyone else and you can become ‘Mayor’ of that location. Whilst these rewards are fun, there are other points with foursquare – by seeing where friends have just checked in to, you will know if they are in the local area to you, so you can catch up with each other

Using your BlackBerry to help with travel plans

Summer lies just around the corner, and I couldn’t be happier. While it does bring more tourists to the city, it also means lighter commutes, fewer people at the office, and of course sunshine and warmth. This all relates to summer travel plans.

Video: Nokia Free Navigation Launch TVC (Ovi Maps Advert)

The second of today’s postings of Ovi Maps adverts. (Check out “ Lost…Really Lost “) Nokia’s really ramping it up to let everyone know you have FREE sat nav with Nokia Smartphones. I like the phrase at the end…”you have reached your destination….you have reached your destination”. It’s a very global affair. Nokia – getting you where you want to be.

HTC Legend Destined for AT&T Shows FCC

The guys over at engadget have been doing their usual snooping of FCC documents and have come across a pixelated label that is a very similar to the label that can be located beneath the endcap of the unibody HTC legend smartphone. However they say this particular label isn’t the same that has been seen before as the FCC documentation states the handset is for the WCDMA 850/1900 bands which is a fairly good indication that this little beast is destined to surf the Big Blue waves of AT&T and well as possibly Canada’s Telus, Roger and Bell. The FCC ID also lends itself as evidence as the original HTC legends sports the ID PB76100 while this new label carried a very similar FCC ID of PB76110

Video: “Really, really lost” New Ovi Maps Advert

Hot on the heels of “The one that got away ” advert, here’s really, really lost I like the humour Nokia’s trying to put in, the whole exaggerated notion of the unpleasantness of being lost, and how, with Ovi Maps you can avoid all that. Though initial first impressions were that it was odd and creepy (not something you want to be associated with) I think the punchline delivers

iPad Konkurrenz wächst: RIM Blackberry Tablet “BlackPad” in 2011?

We’ve received word from a connect that RIM is in fact working on a tablet.
