iPhone 4 At Best Buy and RadioShack as of Launch Day
So where to grab hold of your shiny new, mouth-watering iPhone 4 once it becomes available? Well apparently all you need to do is take a walk down to your local Best Buy or RadioShack store. According to Ross Miller over on Engadget , “trusted sources” have said that the sparkling new iPhone 4 will be with Best Buy at launch and will apparently have 30 32GB iPhone 4 and 15 16GB iPhone 4 units at each store, not too sure that will be enough though. Apparently employee purchases of the iPhone 4 has been banned so at least what inventory they do have will be available to the public, although nothing has been confirmed but apparently the source has been pretty reliable in the past

Motorola Droid 2 Gets Pictured
Well now, it looks like the likes of the HTC EVO 4G and the new iPhone 4 just may have a new challenged on its way as the image you can see is reportedly an image of the new Motorola Droid 2 smartphone. According to an article by Sam Kieldsen over at Electricpig , the image of the Motorola Droid 2 was originally posted by Droid Life and shows a spy shot of the touch screen with the Motorola logo and Android activation screen depicting “A955.” Apparently the “A955” marking is the purported codename for the Motorola Droid 2 device; however as the image is somewhat blurred it is difficult to be completely sure, but it doesn’t look like the Motorola Shadow we’ve seen before, it isn’t the same shape and the physical buttons below the screen on the Motorola Shadow are also missing on this device. So with that in mind, this new spy shot could well be the next device in the Droid line, the Motorola Droid 2 , but then again it may not be, so we’ll keep our opinions open on this one until there is more hard confirmation, until then we’ll keep you informed.

Nexus One Hacked to do 720p HD: Video Demo
Well it looks like the Google Nexus One superphone has now got a little more super as apparently the hackers have been at work and now the Android device has now been hacked to shoot 720p HD video. According to a Vladislav Savov article over on Engadget , the coding guys over at XDA-developers have put out a download which enables 720p resolution onto the Nexus One. Apparently you’ll require at the minimum CyanogenMod version 5.0.8test3 but apparently once you have that you will soon be enjoying the same 720p HD as shouted about on most of the latest smartphones.

iPhone 4 Retina Display Ad Pixel Display Claim is Fake?
Hmm, well apparently Apple has been trying to con everyone over the iPhone 4 , and iPhone chief Steve Jobs has also “already been busted,” for exaggerating the resolution of a new iPhone screen, and is apparently just the latest in a range of misleading claims, images and videos. An article over on Gawker by Ryan Tate reports that George Ou, former ZDnet technical director and now writing for Digital Society has uses several renderings and images to “convincingly establish” Steve Jobs’ team uses images to “fake” a pixel density improvement “twice ad good as actually delivered” on the basis of pixel per inch, you can read the entire article and see all the images by visiting their website. Apparently Apple pictures showed an improvement of 3 to 5 times rather than the 2 times improvement delivered by the iPhone 4 Retina Display. Furthermore the article on Gawker also claims that this isn’t the first time Apple has tried to deceive people, and makes mention of such things as photoshopping Flash onto the iPad, Apple TV ads for the “twice as fast” iPhone 3GS. I have to say that all this pixel tech stuff is beyond me so I wouldn’t really know if Apple had faked anything, and I would presume it’s the same for most people who use a smartphone; but if Apple really has tried to con the public then really it isn’t on is it; Retinal Display video below.

Pro geek creates and reviews his own iPad thingy
When it comes to using my iPad, I tend to stick to game apps, web surfing, and reading. One geek by the name of VJ Franz K has designed his own iPad musical thingy that he has dubbed the Mantaray iTar . The setup is a musical board that takes the iPad and turns it into a musical instrument using off the shelf apps and some other gadgets. The white board is roughly guitar shaped and has a place in the middle for securely holding the iPad on a rubberized base with four rubberized clips to keep it in place without scratching.

House of Nokia: New Sseries and Nokia N9 MeeGo phone Confirmed? 7 top limit of C, E, and X phones.
Hmm…this house has no windows or doors (ovi) Today it appears that the New S series has been confirmed as well as the Nokia N9. N9 by common sense was already known when Nokia mentioned their new naming conventions of single letter 1-9 handsets – 9 being the highest – though never explicitly confirming N9. N9 will therefore be Nokia’s Flagship, and first Nokia MeeGo device that will push the extremes of high end for Nokia. Check out this interview with Alberto Torres, Nokia EVP,MeeGo Computers ..

HP Pavilion dm3-1105ea review
The HP Pavilion dm3-1105ea looks very much like the robot machines we always dreamed of reviewing when we were knee-high to an editor. Chrome accents, glowing blue and white LEDs and a board of flat, isolated keys make this thin and light, 13.3-inch laptop desirably futuristic. We test its Jetsons credentials

Review: Cat Physics for iPhone
If you’re a follower of Donut Games like I am, you were probably excited to see that Cat Physics was released to the Appstore. From Rat on the Run to Comet Racer , the iPhone games that Donut Games release can always be counted on for some quick fun. It seems that one of the main focuses of Donut Games’ development is that the games have to be suited to being played in a mobile environment. If you only have 2 minutes to play a game while you’re on the bus, you’ll be safe in assuming that it will be enough time to finish one of the levels in a Donut game.

2010 Lexus GS450h Delivers ‘Warm Fuzzies’
All photos courtesy Lexus Lexus (via parent company Toyota) has been providing the auto industry with production model hybrid vehicles longer than most and with greater ferocity, and, under most circumstances, we do not associate hybrid vehicles being much more than “eco-friendly” or “miserly” – we certainly keep from allowing our imaginations wander anywhere near “sporty.” That all changed with the introduction of the Lexus GS450h luxury hybrid sport sedan. This was the first real hybrid vehicle that put all of that great and clean power to the rear tires where driving enthusiasts agree it belongs. Sure, there have been semi-all-wheel-drive SUVs from Toyota and Lexus but never rear-drive only prior to the GS model hybrid

Dog-e-Minder Pet Assistant for Dog Owners Review
If you own a dog, you have to incorporate his schedule into the family’s schedule. Every day, you have to make sure your dog is walked at least a few times and fed a couple of times each day. If your dog requires it, you may also have to give him medicine. If you are the only one handling the care of your dog, you may have an easy time remembering to do everything. If you tend to be forgetful or if you have other family members or pet walkers also caring for your dog, you may need to log who did what and when so that Fido doesn’t end up getting fed three times and never walked during the day. You could have a paper log, but that’s an extra step that sometimes gets ignored – and it’s SO non-gadgety! When Julie told me about the Dog-e-Minder – a little computer that your dog wears on his collar – I asked if I could try it out with my dog, Teddy. … [ visit site to read more ] Filed in categories: Pet Gadgets , Reviews Tagged: Activity tracker , ID tag Dog-e-Minder Pet Assistant for Dog Owners Review originally appeared on The Gadgeteer on June 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm

The definitive guide to BlackBerry Messenger revisited
In any technology realm, change is a constant. We see not only new software programs frequently, but we also see hardware upgrades seemingly every year. For instance, RIM has dropped a new major model in each of the past three years, and we’ll likely see a further Bold update, beyond the 9650, before 2010 is over. RIM has also been quick on the software upgrades, pushing out OS 4.5, then 5.0, and soon 6.0 in a relatively short span.

JAVOSide Case for Apple iPad – Review
We have had the opportunity to review a number of JAVOEdge’s iPhone cases here on the site. Well it comes as no surprise that the company is also making cases for the iPad and they were kind enough to send two review samples to us so we could take a look first hand. Both cases have the same construction design but, being made from entirely different materials, they look and feel quite different.
