Let’s face it, despite the welcome improvements in hardware and software, the new iPhone 3GS still suffers from the same problem that all its predecessors had – battery life is terrible. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve compiled a list of 15 ways that you can keep your iPhone 3GS juiced up. This is the best news story of year 2006 for Windows Mobile! Not only Skype has adapted mobile client to run with Pocket PC phones powered by energy-saving 200 MHz processors, but most importantly Skype has released mobile client for MS Smartphone, the smaller Windows Mobile platform for touch screen -less devices! We have tested it and it works perfectly, including making voice calls over Internet (screen shots from MS Smartphone edition, not from Pocket PC version Here are some observations and information about Skype for MS Smartphone: yes, voice calls are working, also in MS Smartphone phones, not just Pocket PC phones! And processor 200 MHz from Texas Instruments is enough for voice calls! It is incredible but true – Skype must have optimized somehow the mobile client to achieve it, but it works. there is home screen plug-in from Skype that shows current status of the connection and other information – right on the home screen of the smartphone! many features known from PC version and Pocket PC version of Skype client are available in MS Smartphone version, including text chats (instant messaging), listening to voice mails, checking your SkypeOut balance, making phone calls to other people on the Internet and to regular phone numbers (through SkypeOut) similarly like it is in Pocket PC version it is possible to specify whether Skype should use Wi-Fi only or also 3G and Wi-Fi connections – whatever available.
