For Facebook’s next act, the social networking site will break free of its domain and let you “like” things all over the Web, according to two news reports. The New York Times and the Financial Times tell a similar story based on unnamed sources: Facebook wants to expand beyond its core site with a “like” button that Web developers can embed in their pages.
Over the weekend, rumors that Apple’s next generation iPhone ( iPhone HD ?) had been uncovered due to someone leaving it in a bar in San Jose had been running rampant. Images made their way to the Internet, claims that it was a Japanese fake were made, only to be taken back later.
How to Manage Service and Application Mailboxes in Exchange
Email is not just for people. It is also used by other services, applications and devices for a multitude of communication scenarios. Some examples of this are applications that send email reports to users, such as enterprise backup software; devices that offer email capabilities, such as scan-to-email; and applications that receive and parse email messages, such as job ticketing systems. With these types of requirements it is very common for an Exchange Server environment to host a lot of non-user mailboxes. In larger environments this can present some challenges. Each mailbox requires a corresponding user account, which presents some security risks. And if not tracked and managed properly the number of mailboxes can grow and result in mailboxes that no one knows about or understands the actual purpose for. This type of mismanagement will crop up at key times such as when migrating to a new Exchange Server, which makes planning and risk management difficult for the project team. With all of that in mind here are some tips for maintaining a well managed Exchange Server environment for service and application mailboxes

Looks like the jailbreak app developer community can get to work on porting their apps to iPhone OS 4.0 , as the current beta has already been jailbroken. However, if you aren’t a developer, don’t go trying to mess around with the redsn0w 0.9.5 beta, as this is purely a dev release. It currently only works on Mac OS X and with an iPhone 3G running iPhone 4.0 beta 1, but that’s good enough to get the devs started on getting everything up to snuff for the official release this summer. Since I’ve been using the Pre for over a week now, I’ve managed to get more and more familiar with WebOS and am enjoying it more and more. It combines many things found on today’s hottest mobile OS’ around – Android and iPhone OS. WebOS is highly underrated mainly due to the mediocre hardware it is being forced to run on, and the fact it’s creators Palm have done a poor job of distribution and made many mistakes when launching. There are various factors why Palm’s Pre and Pixi are not successful, but that doesn’t necessarily mean WebOS isn’t great to experience. Both iPhone and Android users will be arguing why WebOS is inferior to their respective OS’ but the fact is, WebOS has the best of both worlds and is all round more polished and the experience is very very impressive
Twitter managed to make a lot of developers uneasy last week when they acquired Tweetie and made it their official Twitter app for iPhone. Then there was the launch of the RIM Twitter app for BlackBerry that sounded official until Twitter stepped in to correct that impression.

One of our readers sent us this screenshot of a typical Google search, and we agreed that it was worth a chuckle. As you can see, rather than giving Google Maps results, Google instead served results pointing to the MapQuest map of the address. Funny. Apple delays international iPad sales by a month due to US demand
Looks like even Apple was caught off-guard a bit by how popular the iPad has been since the launch in the US, as the company announced earlier this morning that the international launch of the device has been delayed by a month. Apple says that more than 500,000 iPads have been sold in the first week of availability in the US, and to keep up with demand, Europe will now see the iPad in May, rather than the “late April” that was previously announced.
