Apple updates Ping, still annoying and restrictive
Over the weekend, Apple released iTunes 10.0.1, which mainly adds a sidebar to the music library for interaction with their Ping social network . The change makes it easier to “like” and “post” music that’s in your iTunes library to Ping, without having to actually go into the Ping area of the store.

Tokyoflash Optical illusion LED watch
New from Tokyoflash Design Studios is a watch that will test your vision and make you look sophisticated at the same time. It’s so ‘00s to tell someone who struggles to read an analog clock that they can’t tell time, but with this tricky digital watch you can pretty much call anyone out. Hiding in plain sight within a green and black optical illusion, the time can be revealed to the less perceptive eye with the touch of a button. But don’t tell anyone the secret when they ask you for the time in the mall.

WhatsApp-ening
There are plenty of IM services out there and many apps which aim to give quick free Instant Messaging service to the masses. Whilst there are many successful and popular ones out there; Fring, Skype, Palringo and even Gtalk to name a few, all of these have one niggling factor which makes it hard to convince someone who’s not quite into IM services to use it. Getting them to install and then add you to their contacts list. This is where WhatsApp clearly stands out from the crowd. When WhatsApp is installed, it integrates into the phonebook of the user, checks all the contact numbers and matches them with anyone on that list which is using the service.

Understanding the Different Implementations of Exchange ActiveSync
The role of an Exchange Administrator has dramatically increased since the time of the limited, single server installations. These days, the same administrator needs to possess many more technical skills in order to deploy and maintain high availability and resilient setups. In addition, the proliferation of smartphones and tablet devices that connect directly to Exchange means that client devices are no longer limited to Microsoft Outlook running on a PC, adding yet another dimension to the challenges of administrating Exchange. When it comes to mobile clients, one aspect of Exchange ActiveSync not often understood by IT professionals is that not all implementations of it are the same. Microsoft has done an excellent job developing and marketing Exchange ActiveSync from its humble beginnings and its willingness to license this intellectual property to external parties has met with much success. Unfortunately, the onus of giving the licensees leeway in implementing the actual protocol has given rise to a number of unavoidable quirks. Compounding the situation further is the fact that Exchange ActiveSync is a protocol that is constantly being improved in tandem with new releases of Exchange Server. You can see a quick snapshot of the various versions here: Exchange ActiveSync 2.5 – Exchange Server 2003 SP2 Exchange ActiveSync 12.0 – Exchange Server 2007 Exchange ActiveSync 12.1 – Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Exchange ActiveSync 14.0 – Exchange Server 2010 Exchange ActiveSync 14.1 – Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Before we dive into the details, let’s take a look at the two components inherent in each version of Exchange ActiveSync. Features As you may expect, each version of Exchange ActiveSync introduces new features added by Microsoft
