The Nokia 5230 features HSDPA technology for high speed downloads and web browsing, a 2.0 Megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth and A-GPS with Nokia Maps software pre-installed.

Citi Mobile iPhone app updated with new functionality for credit card customers

Citibank, which is nowadays best known as one of the biggest “users” of TARP money, is out with an updated iPhone application. The main idea is to provide Citi credit card customers with the ability to “manage their spending more wisely.” In that sense, users can check account balances and available credit with just a tap of the screen. Additionally, the application also provides details on recent transactions, as well as the date on which the next payment is due – very handy. And that’s about it

Greystripe unveils results of its 99-cent guaranteed iPhone app download program

Some time ago we talked about Greystripe’s unique proposal to offer free iPhone app developers guaranteed download for 99 cents per download . Now we have some campaign results to share. The program was offered to the first 200 developers who signed up and included such brands as Kraft, Chorus and PlayMesh. All campaigns reached their download targets, and the big winner is PlayMesh’s iFarm, which has received a 56% conversion rate on clicks and has been downloaded more than 60,000 times. Unsurprisingly, this helped push iFarm to the number one spot in AppStore’s free app rankings

Rogers Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 gets demoed on video

We still don’t know when specifically Rogers will be coming out with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, but for those interested in Sony Ericsson’s first Android offering, we now have a video of it live in action courtesy of Mobilesyrup . The video starts off with Sony Ericsson product manager Neil Dutton demonstrating and highlight the two signature apps, Timescape and Mediascape, found on the X10 and then goes on to discuss the other hardware features of the device. He also notes that the X10 is just first in the company’s new communication and entertainment brand with more phones to be follow suit. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 certainly looks impressive in the video, and you could hardly notice that it sports an outdate Android 1.6 as its OS.

HTC Touch HD2 Available Stateside

You are lucky if you are living in the States, because HTC has finally rolled out the HTC Touch HD2 via T-Mobile USA with an internal memory boost. The T-Mobile version has a 1GB ROM and a 576MB RAM, which means that you can install more applications or store more data on it. What’s more, the HTC Touch HD2 is also sold with a 16GB microSD card. The phone should be running with Windows Mobile 6.5 OS

We’ve already seen what Virgin Mobile has lined up for Canadian subscribers this year though no date was given as to when they’ll release the said items to the public. New version of iDialog OCS client for iPhone

I somehow missed this update however just got reminded about it (thanks to trawling my old mail). iDialog is a Microsoft Office Communication Server client for the iPhone. It just got updated to version 1.2. In version 1.2 you can now order contacts by state or contact name, re-order Groups and it also has support for the ‘Other Contacts’ group.

Microsoft release Bing application for iPhone

Microsoft today released it’s Bing search application for the iPhone. I’ve yet to really use Bing (although all my ex-colleagues are telling me too) however the iPhone application seems very slick. You can download the application from the Apple App Store HERE Windows Mobile has a Bing application too although strangely the Windows Mobile Bing application isn’t on the Windows Mobile Marketplace but is available via a direct download HERE

iPhone installed base now bigger than Windows Mobile in the US

WMPoweruser had an article highlighting that Windows Mobile install base in the US grew 5% in 8 months and how it was 600% bigger than Android…. What for me was more fascinating was the fact that Apple iPhone install base is now greater than Windows Mobile in the US running second to RIM Blackberry in the US Market.
