FLO TV Personal Television Review
FLO TV is a new service that streams high resolution Live TV to compatible cell phones and portable devices. Their flagship hardware is the FLO TV Personal Television . The device is a touchscreen handheld device that weighs 156g and is similar in size to an iPhone, with a convenient built-in kickstand. We were initially very impressed with the device when we first got to check it out , but now that we finally got a chance to put our review sample through its paces, we can recommend the FLO TV Personal TV, even though it’s a first generation device

Review: LG eXpo from AT&T
Since the release of Windows Mobile 6.5 and the subsequent release of the new Windows phones, I have had the privilege of reviewing two offerings by AT&T. The HTC Pure (Touch Diamond 2) and the Tilt2 (Touch Pro2), both of which I found to be good in their own rights with the Tilt2 being the better of the two in my opinion because of the hardware keyboard and larger screen. Since then I have also received the LG eXpo to review.

Well now Arsenal’s North London rival, and my favorite club, also has an iPhone app. Released today in the iPhone App Store is the Tottenham Hotspur app. I first started following the club in the long-ago days of wonderful players like Glenn Hoddle and Ossie Ardiles – and have supported them ever since

Palm Pre Plus / Pixi Plus – GSM versions on their way
Given that the best way to save in mobile is the reduction of production costs, producing two different cases and planars is not particularly smart. As RAM costs nothing nowadays, it is logical that the Pre and Pixi Plus would hit the GSM world sooner or later – the boxen have just been certified by the TÜV Rehinland: Just in case anyone of you wonders: the TÜV (short for Technischer ÜberprüfungsVerein, or technical checking association) is a kind of standarization organization in Germany and Austria. If a device is to be sold in these regions, it usually has to pass the TÜV tests… P.S. Palm’s partners likely still have some Pre stock – which means that the introduction can still take a few months worth of time!

S60v5: TouchCalc Lite
TouchCalc is developed specially for touchscreen devices. Large keys make entering computations easy, and various input assistance features make accessing the wide library of supported functions easier. Nokia N97/N97 mini users also can use a keyboard optimised view. Formulas and terms can be entered into the program as they are written in the real world – for TouchCalc, 5+5*5 is 30 and not 50.

Nokia N900: Handmade Leather protection
Note: click on the image to view hi-res The latest case to arrive in time for being reviewed with the n900 is the PDair hand made leather case. Coming in back with pretty white stitching it sure seems to be the preppiest looking case in town. The leather is extra soft and oh soo soft to the touch. From the pic at the right you can see how the light bounces of the contours of the case.

Skype, the World’s Largest Long Distance Carrier
VoIP firm Skype grabs 12 percent share of international calling minutes, making it the largest provider of long distance calling in the world. Citing data from research firm TeleGeography, Skype says that, whilst international telephone traffic growth has slowed to “only” 8 percent in the past two years (growing from 376 billion minutes in 2008 to an estimated 406 billion minutes in 2009), its own VoIP growth has accelerated. Skype’s on-net international traffic (between two Skype users) grew 51 percent in 2008, and is projected to grow 63 percent in 2009, to 54 billion minutes.
