Backstage at Austin City Limits Music Festival with AMD
With an amazing line-up that includes the likes of Blues Traveler, Norah Jones, Muze, Deadmau5, and the Eagles – just to name a few, this weekend in Texas the 2010 Austin City Limits Music Festival has taken over. We were invited to ACL by AMD and had the opportunity to go backstage at the AMD stage, which is undoubtedly the geekiest area at ACL. They have a Social Media Hub section set up there where lucky backstage visitors can take a picture or shoot some video, and then use on-hand AMD powered laptops to upload and share their sun burnt ACL mug shots on Twitter or Facebook, or wherever. In addition AMD is also showing off their multi-monitor panoramic gaming rig using Eyefinity technology backstage. They’ve also set up MicroCells for the best 3G reception at Zilker park.

New Limera1n Jailbreak – So Far, So Good
Geohot released a new jailbreak for iOS 4.x and current generation (and minus one) iOS devices earlier today. The new jailbreak is called limera1n and for the moment it is Windows only, though Mac and Linux versions are said to be coming soon. Where is Minigore Co-op on the iPhone?
I’ve posted on nearly every single Minigore ($0.99) update and relayed the news in April that v1.27 would be the last update before co-op gameplay , so I thought I’d take just a moment to ask: Uhh, where’s that co-op gameplay, folks? As of right now, the Minigore blog seems to say co-op is coming in Episode 4, but this epic fourth episode doesn’t really seem to have a release date.

Lindsay Lohan Getting Therapy in Rehab for Twitter Addiction
Not all that long ago we discussed what methods Lindsay could use in order to stay on top of her social media accounts while in prison, after all, the girl is known for being passionate about Twitter and social media in general. Now it turns out that while undergoing rehab at the Betty Ford Center, she is also getting therapy for her addiction to Twitter and e-mail. As a result, she is only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, in the hopes that this will help her concentrate more on herself. Sources tell us she’s “only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends.” The source added, “Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively e-mail her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter. Damn they better not take away everything that makes Lindsay, Lindsay…..we love her nonsensical tweets! Besides, the last thing she needs is to lose followers after all of this too.

Habilis helps e-mail files to your Dropbox folder
PlainText (Free, or $4.99 for ad-free) and Elements ($4.99) are two iOS note apps I know of that feature Dropbox sync, but for all of those other Dropbox-less apps out there, there’s Habilis . All you do is log into Dropbox, set up a Habilis e-mail, and then e-mail your text from your app of choice right to your unique Habilis account. I should note, however, that this didn’t work in Chrome.

Infographic: Who’s Suing Who In Mobile
As the mobile industry continues to grow exponentially and newcomers displace old-timers in terms of devices, services and nearly everything else in the mobile ecosystem, litigation continues to run rampant. Whether it’s disputes over patent infringement, anti-trust inquiries or even the “handling of digital images,” a lawsuit seems to be the easiest answer for companies large and small. David McCandless, a data journalist and designer, put together this awesome infographic published on his Website “Information is Beautiful” [embedded below] to visually identify who’s suing whom in the telecom world. He even differentiates between ongoing and finished lawsuits with different arrows, while the size of the cubes represent the various company’s estimated revenue. In addition, if a company’s cube is red, it means its revenue is decreasing, while gray cubes represent companies with increasing revenues
