ASUS Releases Pricing For 10-inch Android Powered Eee Pad, 8-inch Eee Tablet and More
The iPad has really made the market shift focus towards the slate form factor touting tablet computers everyone has been hearing about, and with good reason. The iPad managed to sell 3 million units in 80 days so who wouldn’t want to hop on the train and grab some of that revenue? ASUS has announced in the past that they would be bringing a whole range of tablets to the market to compete with Apple’s precious iPad but up until now, we haven’t had a clue what they would be priced at. Luckily, the company has come forth today to let us know that their 10-inch Android powered Eee Pad EP101TC will hit stores next march for under $399

Not So Quick look: 2Do 2.0 for iPhone
2Do 2.0 ($7.99, currently $3.99) is the story of a swan that turned into an even prettier and more poweful mecha-swan. I’ve always found Guided Ways’ task manager impressive ( Patrick reviewed version 1.0) , but this new version completely blows all of 1.x out of the water. The video above is my first attempt at a complete app walkthrough using QuickTime and Ryan Petrich’s Display Recorder ($4.99 on Cydia, Jailbreak required). © Ragart for Just Another iPhone Blog , 2010. | Permalink | | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: iphone app update , iphone task manager , iphone todo list

Review: Griffin Reveal Etch Case for iPhone 4
“Antenna-gate” and Apple’s Free Case Program have made many of us think about cell phone cases more than we ever dreamed we would. So many styles and concepts to choose from — and more importantly, price ranges too. Yes, it is possible to spend $90 or upwards on a case for a $200 smart phone. With that in mind, I take a look at the Griffin Reveal Etch, the free iPhone case I received from Apple. Guitar Hero for iPhone gets three new song packs
If you’ve finished all of the Vampire Weekend and Rolling Stones tracks on Guitar Hero for iPhone ($2.99 – review here ), Activision has just released a few more $1.99 song packs to sink your fingers into: Song Pack featuring Band of Horses (“Laredo”), Coldplay (“Life in Technicolor II”) and Nada Surf (“Weightless”) KISS Song Pack: “Love Gun”, “Lick It Up”, and “I Love It Loud” Motörhead Song Pack: “Iron Fist”, “Ace Of Spades”, and “Overkill” I’m sure I’ll get some flak from all the incredibly mighty and macho men that read JAiB, but I do wish that they had included a few more Coldplay songs. But don’t worry, though: I’ll listen to some Rammstein to make up for it. © Ragart for Just Another iPhone Blog , 2010. | Permalink | | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: guitar hero , iPhone Games

Nokia C6: a video
PhoneArena reviews the Nokia C6. The C series portfolio represents the core line of Nokia phones. Devices in it can come in a variety of form factors, and range in numbering from 1 to 9, depending on the price and features. The highest-end handset in the series so far is the Nokia C6, which brings a touchscreen to the line, plus a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Nice little video!

Griffin CinemaSeat Transforms the iPad into an In-car Entertainment System
Say goodbye to in-car DVD players, Griffin’s new CinemaSeat transforms the iPad into an In-car entertainment system. On its back the case has an adjustable strap that routes around your headrest and secures it with a grippy hook-and-loop closure. This way backseat passengers can enjoy videos and play games while on the road. The Griffin CinemaSeat retails for $39.99. And if this concept seems familiar, that is because the Seat Buddy basically offers the same function for the iPhone

Haier Dry Erase Write On Fridge Makes Leaving Notes More Efficient
Magnets and pieces of paper are usually the most traditional ways ofleaving notes on the fridge. However the latest compact fridge from Haier kicks it up a notch, by letting you actually write directly on the refrigerator! The Dry-Erase Write-on Fridge is perfect for dorm rooms, offices, or as an extra fridge for your home. You can write notes, lists and scribble directly on the surface- then wipe clean! The fridge comes with non-permanent dry-erase markers and eraser. The rest of the fridge is pretty average for this type of appliance. It has a freezer, space for a 2 liter soda, a wire shelf, and adjustable thermostat.

Sony Ericsson W995a Cell Phone Review–Better Than Expected
We’ve got another Sony Ericsson to talk about, and they’ve brought us a lot of interesting models over the last few months. Will they be able to do anything interesting with the Sony Ericsson W995a? Let’s have a look! The Sony Ericsson W995a is a slider style cell phone with conference call capability, speakerphone, Wi-Fi, a composer system to make your own music, stereo speakers, direct printing (yes! direct printing! You can actually print stuff off your cell phone by hooking it into a printer!), a hundred and eighteen gigs of memory (which is comparable to some older desktop computers), mobile web, mobile email, video calling services, Java application capability, a variety of downloadable content like games, ring tones and audio and video files, an eight megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom, face detection and automatic focus, alarm clock, calendar, basic calculator, MP3 player, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and a battery capable of yielding nine hours of talk time on one charge. There’s a lot of good things to say about the Sony Ericsson W995a–there are plenty of features here, the battery life is unbelievably long…in fact, about the only bad thing about it is that the controls were a little tricky to start with. I had a rough time finding my way around, but it didn’t take long to get used to it. And chances are you won’t have too much trouble with it either. The Sony Ericsson W995a is great phone with lots of options, and though the controls are a little balky to begin with, you won’t have trouble for long. This may not be an iPhone killer, but it’s worth your time to check out

Only 8% Of US Smartphone Users Use Twitter According To New comScore Data
comScore today released interesting data indicating that only 8% of US-based smartphone users access Twitter from their devices, somewhat contradicting the notion that Twitter is a primarily mobile-centric service. The report from comScore , which mainly looked at what countries are driving Twitter’s worldwide usage growth, indicates that mobile access to the social service in Europe is even smaller at just 2.8%. Given the company has over 100M users worldwide and the fact that Twitter’s 140-character message limit stemmed from SMS, it’s interesting that comScore is reporting such paltry mobile uptake. Other interesting stats from the report include the tidbit that its highest proportion of users aren’t in the US (11.9%), but in Indonesia (20.8%), followed closely by Brazil (20.5%) and Venezuela (19%). Twitter has grown significantly across Latin America as a whole over the last year, increasing a substantial 305% to 15.4 million monthly unique visitors as of June.

iAd Stats: eCPMs More Than $10, Fill Rates 70-80% – But Will It Sustain The Long-Term?
The Business Insider reported today that Dictionary.com has seen its mobile ad rates increase 177% since activating iAds. In addition, the maker of the popular iPhone app reports eCPMs of more than $10, fill rates of between 70% and 80% and overall performance 5x to 6x better than other mobile-ad networks. While this and other app developers are undoubtedly seeing success with iAds, many question how long it can sustain over the long-term. The early popularity of iAds played into the curiosity of users anxious to click on one and discover what it’s all about, but developers are noticing this trend is slowing down considerably.
