At the moment the MSI FX600 is available for purchase online at Newegg and there are two options: – MSI FX600-002US that comes with an Intel Core i5 450M processor and a DVD burner; – MSI FX600-003US that features an Intel Core i3 350M processor and a Blu-ray drive; Both laptop models have a nVidia GeForce GT325M as the graphics card, as well as 4GB of DDR3 RAM memory and a hard-drive with 500GB. An interesting mobile partnership to watch could be the freshly announced pairing of Crisp Wireless and Verve Wireless The joint venture aims to help deliver “rich media ad options” to local media outlets, like newspapers. Illustrating yet again the massive influx of mobile advertising efforts to the local level, regional advertisers and publishers will now have the chance to leverage the media mobile ads that Crisp Wireless has been powering for national mobile sites and apps. Verve Wireless, of course, can push the Crisp Mobile Ad Platform within the company’s massive international network of better than 700 newspaper publishers, which include such heavyweights as the Evening Post, Examiner.com, Freedom, McClatchy and Media General. According to the joint statement from both companies, the ads will be interactive and serve up nifty attributes like location awareness and click-to-call – all of which will be customized for use on smartphones and other portable devices running either Android or Apple’s iOS (like the iPad)

Crisp Wireless Reveals Venture with Verve Wireless

As the Windows Phone 7 technical preview device makes the rounds of the blogs, I must admit I am becoming more hopeful as I listen to what Microsoft is saying and they way they are behaving. They have been making very clear that the software version that people are reviewing now is not the final version and that they are still taking feedback, carefully reading all reviews and working 26 hour days to improve the software.

Samsung has released two more of their DualView cameras which sport a small color LCD on the front and big LCD on the back. Both cameras feature a 14.2″ megapixel sensor, 5X optical zoom, a 3.5″ back touchscreen, 720p video recording, and both have been upgraded with 1.8″ LCDs on the front – up from the original 1.5″.

It’s hard to keep away from Apple these days, as the iPhone continues to hog headlines for all sorts of reasons. But looking at facts and figures, it would seem that whilst the iPhone 4 antenna has been the focus of many over the last few weeks, it hasn’t had much of an impact on the overall success of device, in terms of sales. Overall sales of the iPhone, in all its variations, came to 8.4 million, an amazing 61% increase in year on year numbers. The iPhone 4 accounted for over 3 million of these, and most manufacturers can only dream of producing a handset that sells in such high numbers in such a short space of time. Without doubt the negative views in recent days will have had an impact on recent sales figures, and we can only wonder at how many more sales there would have been had the whole AntennaGate issue not erupted

And he claims the app can clock it even further, but it depends on the quality of the processor in your device.

Sharp has announced that they are planning on entering the ebook reader market in a big way with a new product…but which will likely only read an obscure propiratary format only used currently in Japan. The reader is intended for release first in Japan, but Sharp is then planning on bringing it to the US and is in talks with Verizon about it.

A great deal of news about Apple today. Of course first and foremost the internet is buzzing about today’s earnings announcement, in which Apple breaks all records with a nearly 90 percent increase in revenues from this quarter last year. More than 3 million iPads sold in the quarter, more than 8 million iPhones…the numbers are dazzling. Apple knows that…and will be telling us so every chance it gets. Of course these numbers are not totally unexpected.

After last week’s “they do it too” from Apple regarding the iPhone 4’s signal problems; Nokia and Research In Motion have responded to Apple’s claim. The Antennagate seems to continue forever. Had Apple resisted the urge to hit back, with childish justifications for what is clearly a hardware design flaw and replaced the faulty units; this would have been water under the bridge by now. Instead, now Nokia and Research In Motion (makers of BlackBerry smartphones) are hitting back hard defending themselves for an unjustified attack from Apple. First was Nokia’s rebuttal, then RIM’s but both have pretty good points to make.
