HTC 7 Mozart first hands-on (update: video!)
The first word that came to our mind when handling the HTC 7 Mozart was “classy.” The aluminum unibody construction conveys a rare sense of rigidity and durability to this phone, while its overall curvature, 3.7-inch LCD screen, and ergonomics invoke memories of the company’s Desire and Nexus One Android products. Which is no bad thing, particularly if you thought the Desire was a fine phone that could do with a more upmarket enclosure.

HTC HD7 preview (update: video!)
Alright, so by now we all know that HTC’s HD7 is mostly a HD2 in imperial new clothes, but let’s give the new phone a chance, shall we? We’ve just gotten to grips with the latest member of HTC’s 4.3-inch brigade and predictably enough it feels just as snappy as the rest of the Windows Phone 7 devices introduced today. Navigation is blazingly quick, interrupted only by Microsoft’s excessive fascination with animated screen transitions. Clearly, designing the new WP7 OS around hard-set minimum specs has paid off for Microsoft, whose end product exhibits a great deal of polish.

HTC 7 Surround first hands-on! (update: video)
We just got a quick look at the HTC 7 Surround for AT&T, running that brand-spanking-new Windows Phone 7 OS you’ve been hearing so much about. The phone has a kickstand to help it show off its standout feature: a slide-out “Dolby Surround Sound” speaker. Stand by for more impressions and video, but for now check out the gallery below. Update: Video is live! Here are some thoughts: We were impeded by the security device holding the phone down, but from what we could tell the Surround is a quality device — we’d expect no less from HTC. It is built of plastic, but it pulls off that certain premium look and feel

The Era Of the Uber-Smartphone Is Here
One thing you’ll notice about this crop of Windows Phone 7 handsets is the power of the processor. Each one – almost ten in all – run 1GHz+ Snapdragon processors. With the average desktop or laptop processor running at about 2GHz (let’s say single core speed here), we’re talking about phones that have the power of a half-decade old PC.

System administrators generally have no problem at all when it comes to performing backups and restores on the server backend – perhaps even with their eyes closed. Today, I want to look at a number of useful features in Outlook and Exchange that you might have missed out on. Share that Calendar Want to call a meeting, but unsure about the best time to schedule it? Why not share calendars with key colleagues? The Blackberry Playbook: The Ipad’s Succesor?
The line between phones and computers becomes more blurred with every few months of technology that passes. The original move was the release of the iPhone , and the subsequent smartphone releases that followed. These handsets featured call, mobile email and text capabilities, cameras as per previous phone models, and increased usability such as word processors, applications, and a touchscreen. Connection ports were added so that phones no longer served solely as contact devices, but could be hooked up to other systems and used for entertainment purposes. After a few generations of the smartphone, and in a different part of the technology family, the popularity of the netbook laptop, Apple had a groundbreaking idea to merge the two into a new form of technology – the tablet computer.

Don’t Limit Your iPad From USB
You might have heard the next gen iPad will include a miniUSB port, but for those looking for an easier interface today, or want a standard USB interface for even the upcoming iPad, you should get the USB connector kit from USB Fever. The kit has a SD and USB connector which talks with the iPad through the female Apple connector you use for synchronizing or connecting to your computer. The kit gives you an easier way to upload images, video and PDF documents. It also gives you an easier way to connect your iPhone or other digital camera or video recorder to your iPad. Hell, you could almost toss out the PC…oh way, you’ve still got to sync and update. The USB port could also be used to connect your keyboard to the iPad for typing emails, etc. Sure you all love the keypad on the iPad, but it’s still not as easy to use as a traditional keyboard.
