Add numbers from your call log to existing address book contacts with Add Contact

Today we feature No. 4,892 in a perpetually ongoing series of applications that should be included natively in the BlackBerry OS. These are normally apps that perform a specific function that might not warrant a big investment, but are simple and convenient enough that they’re worth having around. This one is called Add Contact, and it makes saving numbers from your call log to an existing contact an easy proposition

AT&T Sony Ericsson Xperia X10: A Review

Even though the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 runs Android 1.6, features like the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 1 GB on-board storage, storage expandable to 32 GB via card slot, and 8.1 megapixel camera still make this phone a formidable smartphone contender across all American carriers. Hardware At a glance, the Xperia X10 has a beautiful, scratch-resistant 480-by-854 pixel display with three hard buttons directly below the screen for quick access to application settings, on-screen keyboard, home, and back function.

LimeRa1n : Jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch Now!

After waiting for so long time, the legendary Geohot finally released a fully working Jailbreak solution for all iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone devices that run the latest Apple iPhone OS 4.1. This jailbreak was named LimeRa1n and along with its release the application was still on the Beta release and runs on Windows operating system only. The newly released Limera1n exploit the the weakness of the recent physical chips of Apple devices that allow the program to permanently unlock the iOS 4.1 in a free mode. Android Market update brings Froyo Automatic Updating To Eclair devices

Section: Communications , Cellular Providers , Smartphones , Mobile It looks like those sporting an Android 2.1 running device will soon be getting (or have already) an update to the Android Market. This update is sneaky and comes without any effort on your part, thankfully though it brings a nice feature—the ability to automatically update app. The version of the Market is ‘version 2007’ which can be verified by going to Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications and then scrolling down to and selecting Market. Once there you should see the version number towards the top. Or perhaps a little easier is to simply launch the Market and choose an app, any app should do and then look for the “Allow automatic updating” along with the check box

Felwig Software Releases Firmament for iGizmos

There are some words, as Dave Barry pointed out, that are inherently funny.  He liked the word “booger,” but there are other words that fit the bill.  (He also enjoyed “weasel”–don’t ask me why.) And then there are words that, to me, just sound cool all on their own.  ”Vector.”  ”Glacial.”  And one of my other favorites is now a game:  ”Firmament.”  This has nothing to do with the game itself, of course; I just like to spice up these news items a bit. Anyway.

Video Demo: Nokia Panorama on the Nokia N8

Last week we saw that Nokia Panorama was available on the Ovi Store for the Nokia N8 . Below is a video demo shot by nuuneoi from showing “Nokia Panorama” in action. Apps like Morpho Panorama use “sweep” – possibly the easiest method where you just sweep from left to right with no pausing or thought as to whether your picture is aligned – much like taking a video. Samples this way though may suffer from different light exposures, and quality may suffer

Adobe Air Android Arrives … Apps Already Arriving

If you hear ‘Adobe Air’ and think ‘huh?’, you are not alone. Unlike Flash, which is a pretty high-profile content-enabler (and computer disabler if you listen to Steve Jobs), Air is a much smaller and lighter component which has become more popular recently, and is used to fuel things like TweetDeck, the Good Old Games downloader, and the corporate Twitter-alike Yammer. There are a ton more, as evidenced by this article pointing out 60+ Air applications you should know . About a month or so ago Adobe announced that they would bring the Air platform to Android smartphones, and today they have done just that! You can now grab it from the Android Market, though it is a relatively chunky 5.7MB (not clear if you can move it to the SD card).

Sketching with the Nokia N900

The N900 was perhaps the most interesting device that Nokia brought market last year. Regular readers will know that I am far more interested in the concept of a pocket computer than a smart phone, the N900 is clearly more computer than phone. As such you would expect people to attempt to use the N900 for the kind of tasks that they would normal perform on a regular computer. And they do. Michelle , a fellow creative and technology fan, has recently been trialling a Nokia N900 with the goal of creating some digital art with the Sketch application
