Review: ColorBlast! (iPhone)

App Store Link The absence of something often helps to accentuate another element’s presence. This last aspect is what the creators of ColorBlast! have focused

Brick-Breaking Competition Awaits with Splash Duel HD

Splash Duel HD is like a hybrid of  Breakout and air hockey. In many ways it combines the best of both games and creates a very addicting experience. Just like Breakout you must bounce balls off of bricks with a paddle. Splash Duel HD is set in an underwater world, so expect a coral background and the steady sound of the deep as background noise.

WSJ gets less cheeky with Verizon iPhone article, now says it’s a done deal

Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal made headlines by writing: Apple Inc. plans to begin mass producing a new iPhone by the end of 2010 that would allow Verizon Wireless to sell the smartphone early next year, said people briefed by Apple. While there is plenty of innuendo in that statement, the publication never actually stated that Verizon will be selling the iPhone. Today, the WSJ has un-muddied the proverbial waters and rewritten a portion of their previous article. The new article reads: AT&T Inc.

Motorola says iPhone and iPad infringe some of its patents, sues Apple

Not long after being sued by Microsoft , Motorola has announced that it’s suing Apple for the same old reason most companies in the mobile industry are suing each other: patent infringement. Motorola (actually its Motorola Mobility subsidiary) claims that the “ iPhone , iPad, iTouch and certain Mac computers” infringe a total of 18 patents. Said patents are related to various technologies, including WCDMA (aka 3G), GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11, wireless email, location-based services, software application management, proximity sensing, and multi-device synchronization. Moto says that these technologies are fraudulently used by Apple in “many of its core products and associated services”, including the famous App Store and MobileMe.

Coming to this news shared by AppleInsider , “Apple is currently working to expand the iPhone line, and may offer larger and smaller models as soon as early 2011, one Wall Street analyst has said.” “Our sources believe these likely represent new high-end and low-end iPhone models to complement its current iPhone 4,” Wu wrote in a note to investors

The Jorno BT keyboard for iPhone and iPad looks both foldable and intriguing

I have a Bluetooth keyboard from Stowaway that works with my iPhone 3GS and it works beautifully for typing, but the kicker is having to re-pair it with my iPhone every time I open it up. I’m hoping this Jorno BT keyboard (due 2011 for about $79 if you pre-order) has a few more tricks up its sleeve, aside from its insanely compact form factor. If it can seamlessly pair with the iPhone after waking up (i.e

Google Goggles Comes to the iPhone

Google Goggles is one of those neat little applications that until you use it, you never realise just how useful it can be. The application has been available on Android devices since December last year, and now the app has come to the iPhone, with the latest Google App for iPhone update. What Google Goggles does, is to make a search based on an image captured on your phone. This could be a landmark, cover of a book, DVD, magazine, company logo, etc, and once captured Google Goggles will analyse the image and make a search based on the results. You can also train Google Goggles, so if a result returns unsatisfactory results, you can give feedback to help Google improve the app in a future release
