2Do Lite pulled from App Store for being 2Good

The Lite version of the excellent 2Do task management app has been pulled from the App Store because it was so good that it was cannibalizing sales of the real 2Do ($6.99). I have a feeling people might be a little ticked off about this move, but developer Guided Ways does seem to have presented their motives pretty well on their forums (via @GuidedWays ).

I’m not sure why, but developer Fabian Kreiser has just announced that Icebird (normally $1.99 or 2.99, I believe) is going free for the rest of the day. If you’re looking for an ultra pretty, extra roomy Twitter client, then download the app now, and ask questions later.

Analysis: PayPal’s deposit feature seems best-suited for those little checks for which it’s a hassle to to a bank — especially since the process is not speedy. New A4 jailbreak debacle puts the brakes on for iPad

If you’ve been waiting in the wings for the next Jailbreak to be release you should know there’s been a bit of a speed bump. [ChronicDevTeam], which has been working on an exploit for A4-based iOS devices called SHAtter,  tweeted last Thursday that the fully tested, untethered, and unpatchable package knows as greenpois0n would be released today. But on Friday [Geohot], who you may remember from the PlayStation 3 Hypervisor exploit , rolled out his own mostly untested and admittedly beta jailbreak called limera1n . So where does that leave the situation? Because [geohot] used a different exploit, the [ChronicDevTeam] decided not to release greenp0ison

The Most Disruptive iPhone Yet

Remember when I said Verizon isn’t ready for the iPhone? Forget it. Citing an anonymous source in direct contact with Apple , The New York Times on Friday confirmed that the two companies plan to introduce an iPhone 4 for Verizon’s network “early next year.” Crow, meet mouth. Mouth, crow. (Nom nom nom.) So far, we don’t have any of the details of the arrangements between Apple and Verizon.

scosche sneakpeek 2 makes it easy to hook an ipad or iphone to your tv

There are a lot of folks out there who have an iPad or iPhone that  like to stream content with from various sources like YouTube, Netflix, their video camera or their media library. The catch is that it can be a hassle getting that video onto a larger screen for viewing. You can use a dock that has TV outputs, but those tend to take up a lot of space and if your entertainment center is as crowded as mine that can be an issue

Where is Minigore Co-op on the iPhone?

I’ve posted on nearly every single Minigore ($0.99)  update and relayed the news in April that v1.27 would be the last update before co-op gameplay , so I thought I’d take just a moment to ask: Uhh, where’s that co-op gameplay, folks? As of right now, the Minigore blog seems to say co-op is coming in Episode 4, but this epic fourth episode doesn’t really seem to have a release date.

iphone merges with palm

I look a good design concept as much as the next guy, but the designer of the iPhone Next Generation concept has balls bigger than an iPad to rip off Steve Jobs’ gadget. Samuel Lee Kwon, watch out for Apple legal ninjas and keep an eye on the mail box for the inevitable cease and desist that is coming your way. Apple’s ire aside, this is one awesome design concept

iPad Enclosure with two Docks? Yes check this pic

The Mac Observer shared some interesting phptos of iPad with 2 doc connectors. These connectors will make it easy for iPad to be docked in either landscape or portrait mode. In a blog post, the Mission:Repair said, “Here’s a shot of an iPad back case showing the dock connectors both on the bottom of the iPad (as we’re used to) and on the side of the iPad so you can dock it in landscape mode. Just as we hoped.

Looks Like New iPhone CDMA Version Will Hit The U.S By Early 2011

Another source this time NYTimes states tat the iPhone would reach Verizon as early as early 2011. The New York Times ‘ insider, who reportedly had direct access to Apple, didn’t corroborate talk of whether it would use a Qualcomm chip , though Qualcomm’s dominance of CDMA makes it very probable. MacNN reports that: While Apple has simply declined to comment, Verizon has become increasingly vague in its responses and neither explicitly confirming nor denying that plans exist. At the CTIA phone show this week, Verizon executives wouldn’t address the question directly and even put the onus on Apple. When asked if the iPhone would be part of the 4G phone launch at CES, Verizon’s wireless chief Lowell McAdam dodged the question in either direction.

Habilis helps e-mail files to your Dropbox folder

PlainText (Free, or $4.99 for ad-free) and Elements ($4.99) are two iOS note apps I know of that feature Dropbox sync, but for all of those other Dropbox-less apps out there, there’s Habilis . All you do is log into Dropbox, set up a Habilis e-mail, and then e-mail your text from your app of choice right to your unique Habilis account. I should note, however, that this didn’t work in Chrome.

The Blackberry Playbook: The Ipad’s Succesor?

The line between phones and computers becomes more blurred with every few months of technology that passes. The original move was the release of the iPhone , and the subsequent smartphone releases that followed. These handsets featured call, mobile email and text capabilities, cameras as per previous phone models, and increased usability such as word processors, applications, and a touchscreen. Connection ports were added so that phones no longer served solely as contact devices, but could be hooked up to other systems and used for entertainment purposes. After a few generations of the smartphone, and in a different part of the technology family, the popularity of the netbook laptop, Apple had a groundbreaking idea to merge the two into a new form of technology – the tablet computer.
