NAMP Exclusive: Motorola Droid Hands-On and Live Pics

Got my hands today on the Android based Motorola Droid , which was launched in the US few months back or should I say last year. Its also called the Motorola Milestone, maybe because its like a milestone in Motorola’s history. The phone sports a touch screen as well as a slide out QWERT keyboard. The keyboard sliding mechanism is not very smooth and while using you might feel that the keyboard is getting stuck.

Garmin Zumo 665 – XM Traffic and XM Weather Overlays

You probably already know about the Garmin Zumo series of motorcycle GPS units that are designed from the ground up to work for motorcyclists; waterproof, glove friendly, and loaded with features like advanced routing capabilities and text to speech. Garmin announced a new Zumo 665 that comes with the GXM 40 XM antenna, giving you access to XM radio (your own subscription is needed), and XM Nav Weather – with up to the minute NAXRAD radar on the unit. Very cool overlay that we’ve been hoping for since Garmin launched a Marine GPS with similar capabilities back in 2006. The XM NavTraffic is also available, but you might not need it while cruising the back roads and cruisers that keep you the heck out of traffic. The List Price is a steep $999, and should be available in Q1 2010.

Rock-It Can Turn A Milk Carton into a Speaker

So you are bored of the same black high gloss finish speakers. The Rock-It portable vibration speaker system takes music from your device and sends those vibrations through the Rock-It “pod” onto any object you choose. So basically you can stick your “pod”onto a juice carton, a box of cereal, or a Barbie and you’ll have music “pumping” out of it. Just press play on your device be it a iPod, MP3 player, or mobile phone.

So I wasn’t all that surprised to see that have added their touch to a pair of headphones. Pylones is offering up headphones with different motifs called Pod Pals . Each one depicts flowers, penguins, and a butterfly

How to edit Active Notes on PC

Active Notes steps into the breach, with a full multi-media friendly way of organizing your thoughts, media and even contacts. Although such a ‘rich’ tool isn’t going to synchronize to anything else, the content IS portable, by virtue of Active Notes storing all information within a standard HTML and folder framework. Which means that you can then move it across to any other computer in the known universe and view the content in more or less the same way. Let’s see how this works in practice
