Tissot Launches Augmented Reality Window Display
We previously showed you the augmented reality website from Tissot , that let you try on a watch on your wrist using a computer and augmented reality. Now it seems that Tissot has installed the feature in Selfridges in London. As you can see in the video below, if you want to try on one of the watches via augmented reality you just put on a paper wristband, and then you can try out various watches on the screen to see what they would look like. The augmented reality window is located at Selfridges in London, it certainly does look like a fun way to try on some watches.

Nike Announces Heart Rate Monitor For The Nike+
Are you a fan of the Nike+ system, but want to track your exertion through a heart rate monitor? Now your trusty Nike+ sportsband or iPod can pair with a special Polar Heart Rate strap and track your ticker as well as your runs! That’s the good news. The bad news is that the monitor costs $69.95. It still isn’t a terrible deal if you already have an iPod Nano or iPod Touch. Presumably you’re choosing to run with music, and therefore your only “extra” cost would be either the Nike+ dongle and the heart rate monitor or just the monitor

What Was Missing From WWDC? Nothing
I thought there would be far more rumors leading up to Apple’s World Wide Developer’s Conference . After all, the big story had already been blown, which left a lot of room open for speculation. Besides, a number of significant Apple products are due for an update, right? Macrumors runs an Apple buyer’s guide where they track the lifecycle of Apple’s key products. A few of Apple’s products haven’t been updated in a long time, longer than their usual average

LuminAR digital desk-lamp packs pico, camera & gesture UI [Video]
We’ve seen combinations of pico-projectors and cameras used for new interface systems before – perhaps most memorably the wearable “Sixth Sense” computer – but MIT Media Lab researcher’s Natan Linder’s LuminAR is perhaps the first to include an angle-poise robot too. At its core, the “LuminAR bulb” is a pico-projector, a camera and the necessary electronics combined into a standard screw-mount, capable of projecting an interface onto your table or wall and tracking touch and motion gestures you make toward it.

Macintosh Classic iPad Mod
It seems that mods using the iPad and old Mac computers are popular at the moment, yesterday we saw the iPad iBook mod , today we have a Macintosh Classic iPad Mod. The modder used an empty shell of a Macintosh Classic, and the iPad is a perfect fit, although the iPad’s home button is covered, check out the video of it in action below. I am sure we will see quite a few iPad mods over the coming months using old Mac computers, and who knows maybe even some PCs.

House of Nokia: New Sseries and Nokia N9 MeeGo phone Confirmed? 7 top limit of C, E, and X phones.
Hmm…this house has no windows or doors (ovi) Today it appears that the New S series has been confirmed as well as the Nokia N9. N9 by common sense was already known when Nokia mentioned their new naming conventions of single letter 1-9 handsets – 9 being the highest – though never explicitly confirming N9. N9 will therefore be Nokia’s Flagship, and first Nokia MeeGo device that will push the extremes of high end for Nokia. Check out this interview with Alberto Torres, Nokia EVP,MeeGo Computers ..

Send Google Maps Destinations To Your Ford Vehicle
By Chris Scott Barr Having a GPS in my car is great for those times when I’m visiting a new city. It tells me the most efficient way to get to where I need to be. When I want to find something to eat, or a specific store, I can just look it up on my phone, find the address and then type it into the GPS unit.

Dog-e-Minder Pet Assistant for Dog Owners Review
If you own a dog, you have to incorporate his schedule into the family’s schedule. Every day, you have to make sure your dog is walked at least a few times and fed a couple of times each day. If your dog requires it, you may also have to give him medicine. If you are the only one handling the care of your dog, you may have an easy time remembering to do everything. If you tend to be forgetful or if you have other family members or pet walkers also caring for your dog, you may need to log who did what and when so that Fido doesn’t end up getting fed three times and never walked during the day. You could have a paper log, but that’s an extra step that sometimes gets ignored – and it’s SO non-gadgety! When Julie told me about the Dog-e-Minder – a little computer that your dog wears on his collar – I asked if I could try it out with my dog, Teddy. … [ visit site to read more ] Filed in categories: Pet Gadgets , Reviews Tagged: Activity tracker , ID tag Dog-e-Minder Pet Assistant for Dog Owners Review originally appeared on The Gadgeteer on June 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm

The definitive guide to BlackBerry Messenger revisited
In any technology realm, change is a constant. We see not only new software programs frequently, but we also see hardware upgrades seemingly every year. For instance, RIM has dropped a new major model in each of the past three years, and we’ll likely see a further Bold update, beyond the 9650, before 2010 is over. RIM has also been quick on the software upgrades, pushing out OS 4.5, then 5.0, and soon 6.0 in a relatively short span.
