New USB Cable Tricks Your Phone Into Becoming A USB Modem
By Chris Scott Barr If you have a phone with an unlimited data plan, it can be frustrating when the carrier won’t allow you to use your phone as a modem. After all, if you’re paying for unlimited data, why shouldn’t you be able to use it as you please? One company has designed a very special USB cable that claims to let you do just that. Pretec’s new H220 Intellicable cable has a built-in flash drive, which contains a special suite of software. This allows your computer to trick the phone into thinking it’s a USB modem

Review: Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go Wireless USB Modem
One thing modern technology and being a gadget freak brings is lots of monthly bills. iPhone, Netflix, Satellite, home internet. When you think about it, it seems we are being nickel and dimed to death with monthly charges. Being a father of two and earning a meager wage, the addition of more of these monthly charges is not an option. There are many new mobile internet devices that look compelling, but I never can work the monthly fees into my budget. Enter Virgin Mobile’s Broadband2Go. Virgin Mobile was kind enough to send me a Broadband2Go Wireless USB Modem to try out. The big difference in the Broadband2Go offering is the lack of monthly or annual charges. The service is pay as you go and offers several options starting at $10. This is exactly what I needed. There are times I would like to be wireless for a trip or during certain sports, but I am not willing to pay for the services the entire year. With the Broadband2Go Modem, I am able to pay for what I think I will use without a contract or any attachments

How The Apple iPad Is Changing The Way We Consume Media
The Apple iPad is either a revolutionary device that is set to totally change the way we look at computing or it’s just another device pushed by Apple that we don’t really want or need. The TV is the next step for Google and Apple to put their ads
Overall, the Google TV looks very good and would be a great product, but will still be complex and hard to understand, because it uses the Android software. On the other hand, the Apple TV will be easier to use, cheaper and much more attractive. At this moment, Apple knows everything that the customer wants regarding gadgets, the software and applications that they can use on them, unlike Google, which only knows everything that it is to know about the Internet. The Apple Company doesn’t care about what the customer thinks, they just simply release a gadget that is easy to use by everyone, especially for those who don’t know how to use a computer. There are rumors that the new Apple TV will not have Ethernet. If you don’t know, the Ethernet can work faster, and it’s more reliable, but this is one of the reasons why Apple is so successful. They make these decisions for the customer and their successful. Even if the Apple TV has about as many features as the Google TV, at this point it doesn’t really matter

ATT finally announces iPhone tethering plan. And it sucks.
So, earlier we told you all about the new AT&T data plans , and mentioned that if you were currently on an unlimited plan, you could keep it, and AT&T will just consider you grandfathered in. Now here is where it gets interesting—after three years, AT&T has finally announced a tethering plan for the iPhone, which will go live with iPhone OS 4.0 is released. The thing is, if you wanna use it, you must leave your unlimited data plan behind, even though the tethering cost is an extra $20 per month. Instead, you have to move to the DataPro plan, which is $25 per month for 2GB of data, and $10 for each additional gigabyte of data used if you go over.

If you’re one of them, you will be delighted to know that Sony has just created a gadget that will allow your cat to be part of the cyberworld – through Twitter in particular. During the even Open House 2010, which took place on the 28th of May this year, Sony Computer Science Laboratories (CSL) Inc

Intel to Sell Version of Atom for Tablet Computers (Update2)
(Adds closing share price in the final paragraph.) By Ian King June 1 (Bloomberg) — Intel Corp., the world’s largest chipmaker, is producing a version of its Atom processor for tablet computers, trying to head off gains by mobile-phone chipmakers. Intel will begin supplying the chips, which use half the power of other models, in early 2011, the Santa Clara, California-based company said. The new version of Atom, the most common processor in scaled-down notebook computers, or netbooks, is called Oak Trail. Apple Inc.’s iPad, which went on sale in April, has stoked interest in touch-screen tablet computers, a category that had declined to less than 2 percent of overall PC sales. The iPad and other similar devices announced by Hewlett-Packard Co
