Bell may have scored the exclusive contract to offer up the Nokia N97 in Canada, but soon, Rogers loyalists will get treated to its miniaturized twin, the N97 Mini. As evidenced by the leaked product launch flyer of the full touchscreen QWERTY handset below, the Nokia N97 Mini will soon be released on Rogers, and barring any sudden change of plans, will be available for $99.99 (promo price) on a 3-yr contract with a minimum $45 voice and data monthly plan. It’s priced at $399.99 and $449.99 on a 2-yr and single year contract basis respectively

Houston, we have Singularity. Hubble didn’t find this one, Sven Killig carved it out of molten rock, aka the Nexus One, with his own 2 hands. He’s managed to take a consumer cell phone and get the full gamut of Personal Computer functionality online. Check out his humble video , available at YouTube in fabulous 1080p, that shows the Nexus One being controlled by a USB keyboard. He deftly uses the keyboard to launch a movie file located on a mounted USB flash drive

The guy responsible for this feat is msft.guy who has also posted the jailbroken iOS 4 GM package online for use with PwnageTool for anyone who wishes to try this out

As expected, following Rogers’ announcement, both Telus and Bell have disclosed that they too will be releasing the iPhone 4 in Canada “ in the coming weeks. ” Similar to Rogers , they didn’t divulge any info on its exact launch date locally, but we know that this will be happening sometime in July. As far as pricing goes, no luck here either, but given at how the pricing scheme in Canada is somewhat similar to the US, we’re assuming that the iPhone 4 will just take over the price point of the current iPhone 3G S line with the latter getting a significant price cut to clear out inventory the soonest time possible. The iPhone 4 will most likely be available on Fido and Virgin Mobile Canada as well considering that they too have an iPhone as part of their line-up.

Steve Jobs has finally introduced the highly anticipated iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The new iPhone comes with a new design with both a glass front and back, and stainless steel edging, which actually functions as part of the antenna. Apple has just announced the latest iPhone, simply named iPhone 4, and being one the carriers offering up the Apple mobile phone in Canada, Rogers has assured everyone that they’ll have this new device on hand in “ the coming weeks. ” Granted that Canada didn’t make it to the short list of countries (US, France, UK, Germany, and Japan) who will be getting it this month, this will definitely happen sometime in July wherein 18 more countries are expected to get treated to Apple’s newest iPhone offering.

One thing modern technology and being a gadget freak brings is lots of monthly bills.  iPhone, Netflix, Satellite, home internet.  When you think about it, it seems we are being nickel and dimed to death with monthly charges.  Being a father of two and earning a meager wage, the addition of more of these monthly charges is not an option.  There are many new mobile internet devices that look compelling, but I never can work the monthly fees into my budget.  Enter Virgin Mobile’s Broadband2Go. Virgin Mobile was kind enough to send me a Broadband2Go Wireless USB Modem to try out.  The big difference in the Broadband2Go offering is the lack of monthly or annual charges.  The service is pay as you go and offers several options starting at $10.  This is exactly what I needed.  There are times I would like to be wireless for a trip or during certain sports, but I am not willing to pay for the services the entire year.  With the Broadband2Go Modem, I am able to pay for what I think I will use without a contract or any attachments
