So What’s Up With Motorola’s Motoblur?
Just yesterday, Motorola introduced the DEVOUR (yes, in all caps) to the cell-toting masses. It’s the first phone to be released running the unique Android-powered Motoblur technology. What’s Motoblur, you ask? Well, Motoblur syncs and feeds your personal and work emails, texts, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter updates from you and those you follow to your phone’s home screen without having to log into different accounts, or open up any webpages or apps. It’s all right there on the main screen.

JooJoo tablet shipping this month, full Flash support and app store at launch
The iPad may have taken the media by storm, but the JooJoo , formerly known as the CrunchPad, is back, and hot on Apple’s heels. The JooJoo’s starting off full production, that’s right and maker Fusion Garage has announced that the product is set to start shipping this month. Fusion Garage CEO Chandra revealed that they’ve teamed up with Malaysia’s largest OEM, CSL Group, to cover the tablet manufacturing costs; in return CSL will get a slice of the revenue pie. And read this, it’s confirmed that the tablet will feature full Flash support at launch, and even HD Flash content once Flash 10.1 is released. The other thing? A web app store is in the works, Chandra claiming “We have a bigger ‘app store’ than Apple because we have the full Internet,”. Apparently JooJoo means along the lines of “magical” in African – which is how Steve Jobs exactly described the iPad. And they cost the same at $499 each. The JooJoo may have a larger 12-inch screen compared to the iPad’s 9.7-incher, but who knows what Apple may concoct up – something larger, and even more “magical”? FUSION GARAGE MOVES INTO FULL PRODUCTION OF BREAKTHROUGH JOOJOO Tablet Innovative Manufacturing Agreement and Investment from CSL Group Helps Reinvent Consumer Electronics Business Model SINGAPORE, February 3, 2010 – Fusion Garage today announced that its category-creating JooJoo Internet tablet has moved into full production with initial shipments expected to reach consumers at the end of February. Helping fuel the JooJoo’s arrival and Fusion Garage’s next phase of corporate growth is an innovative manufacturing agreement and strategic investment from mobile device OEM and distribution giant CSL Group of Malaysia.

Samsung Alias 2 Cell Phone Review–Strange and Lacking
Samsung, give them credit, loves to push that old industrial design envelope by making strange new control designs for their products. It’s only too bad that, most of the time, these industrial design features often wind up being little more than lipstick on a pig. And today’s polished turd will be the Samsung Alias 2. The Samsung Alias 2 is a convertible flip style cell phone that offers call timer, conference call ability, voice recorder, caller ID, Bluetooth connectivity, TTY compatibility, VZ Navigator, Chaperone parent/child, a sixteen gig microSD card slot, V CAST Music, Rhapsody, GPS, speakerphone, a phone book with capacity for a thousand names and numbers, mobile email, internet browser, a two megapixel digital camera, and a battery capable of generating five hours of talk time on one charge. The first thing you’ll notice about this phone is its bizarre and thoroughly outlandish controls. It will take quite a bit of getting used to to get this thing to work properly. And the worst part is that, though the controls are spectacularly unique, there’s not a whole lot here for the keypad to actually control in the first place. The Samsung Alias 2 is short on tools and long on weird. The end result is a phone much less than you actually could get elsewhere. The Good Gutsy and highly original design The Bad Short on features Huge learning curve Score 4/10 Related Posts Samsung Alias Cell Phone Along with the BlackBerry Curve 8330 and the LG enV2, Verizon is also releasing the new Samsung Alia..

Verizon To Release Motorola Devour
Verizon Wireless will launch the Motorola Devour Android-powered handset. Too bad, Verizon hasn’t confirmed a price yet, but we’re assuming that the Devour will be cheaper than the Droid because it has a smaller screen and a slower processor. The Motorola Devour features a touch-sensitive navigation pad, a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, several pre-loaded applications (Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps), a pre-installed 8GB microSD card, and Bluetooth.

Wilson Electronics Sleek Cell Signal Booster- Review
Every now and then you come across a product that promises to do things exceptionally well for a lower price than you would otherwise expect and… it actually exceeds your expectations. That’s the case with the Sleek cell phone booster for Wilson Electronics. The first sample videos from the Sony Ericsson Vivaz are out and kind of incredible
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz (previously known as “Kurara”) still doesn’t have an official release date, but it looks like someone in Sony Ericsson’s camp has been playing with one lately. The company just released a pair of sample videos, marking the first time anyone outside of SE has seen footage shot on this handset. Now, given that one of the flagship features of this handset is its 720p video recording mode, we didn’t exactly expect the camera quality to be garbage – but hot damn are these videos impressive. Check out the videos below, won’t you? The first video alone is pretty impressive, even if they are kind of cheating; if those E-Trade commercials and countless viral videos have proven anything, it’s that babies make everything better.

Orange T-Mobile UK merger may “affect competition”
Announced in September 2009, the merger between Orange UK and T-Mobile UK is not yet completed, as it awaits approval from UK authorities. If all works out the way France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom want, the Orange – T-Mobile joint venture will become the largest British mobile carrier, with more than 30 million customers and about 37% of the UK mobile market. However, according to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), the proposed joint-venture “threatens significantly to affect competition in mobile telecommunications in the UK.” That’s why the OFT has asked for additional details about the merger from the European Commission
