BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell Hardware and OS 6 Software Walkthrough Videos

For all you BlackBerry fans out there we have a couple of walkthrough videos for your visual enjoyment today of the BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell hardware and OS 6 software which can be watched below. The BlackBerry 9670 videos come to us courtesy of Kat Hannaford over at Gizmodo by way of Driphter , who apparently confirms the BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell specs as being a 480 x 360 internal screen, large external display, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, microUSB, microSD slot, and 512MB memory. Of the device he says it is CDMA, has an F-M1 battery, spots a nice QWERTY keyboard that isn’t raised, built in options for touch screen functionality, but he’s not too sure about the chrome finish. The first video is the BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell hardware and lasts just over a minute and a half, while the second is the software lasting almost ten and a half minutes. So I’ll stop there and let you hit up those video and enjoy.

The definitive guide to BlackBerry Messenger revisited

In any technology realm, change is a constant. We see not only new software programs frequently, but we also see hardware upgrades seemingly every year. For instance, RIM has dropped a new major model in each of the past three years, and we’ll likely see a further Bold update, beyond the 9650, before 2010 is over. RIM has also been quick on the software upgrades, pushing out OS 4.5, then 5.0, and soon 6.0 in a relatively short span.

High quality Blackberry Bold 9800 slider pics, BB OS 6 video walkthrough pop up in China

Research in Motion was never too big on trying new form factors for their Blackberry devices. Sure, RIM  might be playing with some pretty far out things on drawing boards in R&D labs, but when it comes to actual Blackberry devices, they are extremely conservative. Wide or traditional candybar form factor is the way to go. But even RIM has to try something new sometimes

More Awfully Good Looking Pictures Of The BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider Hit The Web

CrackBerry has probably the best looking pictures of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider , rumored to hit AT&T by months end, to hit the web yet.  I have no intention on moving to AT&T to get this device, however, I must say what an awfully good looking device the Bold 9800 Slider is. If the June release rumors are true, we should, unless Apple AT&T is going the Verizon route and officially announcing the Bold 9800 Slider less 24 hours before the time of it’s release, start to hear official word on this device any time now. BBGeekcast: June 4, 2010 – Episode 119

We kick off today’s proceedings with a little rant. Perhaps you’re familiar with it. I wrote about AT&T’s new data plans the other day, and have since reflected on my views. They’re actually strengthened, and I think they come through better vocally than they do textually. Plus, plenty on the newer devices.

Want to limit BlackBerry data usage? Check out WiFiX

For many BlackBerry users, the new AT&T tiered data plans will save money. If you use your device entirely for email and don’t surf the web much, for example, you could cut your data costs in half. Still, as I mentioned yesterday, it might not be all good for you . Reuters blogger Felix Salmon expressed a similar sentiment , noting that his data usage fluctuates by the month, often but not always exceeding 200MB
