HTC Hero Receives Android 2.1 Update OTA on T-Mobile
The HTC Hero has been with us for around a year now, and still has a loyal following amongst HTC fans, with its early implementation of the Sense UI and decent spec for an Android device of its time making it the phone to have back then. And even now, the Hero still ranks as one of the top devices on the market, but one thing that has been holding it back is the fact that the Hero, or G2 as T-Mobile prefer to call it, still runs on Android OS 1.5 This means that some of the newer updates for Google applications and apps from the Android Market are incompatible with the Hero, which quickly led to user frustration, and a long patient wait as deadline after deadline for the promised update to a later Android OS version came and went.

Microsoft Is So Desperate that They Willing to Pay People to Create Apps
We all had heard about Windows Mobile 7 for more than 2 years now, but until now, Windows 7 powered phones are still not in the market. They know that they probably have lost huge market share to Google and Apple. Microsoft is now so desperate to get developers to build apps for its Windows Mobile 7 that they are willing to pay developers to do so. The world’s largest software company is offering incentives such as free tools, test phones, and revenue guarantees. “We are investing a lot to attract developers big and small to Windows Phone 7 to let them understand what the opportunity is and provide as many resources as we can to help them be successful on our platform,” he added.

However, that may be about to change, and the contender for the title is a handset that no one could have predicted just a few weeks ago….. ….We’re talking about the iPhone 4

BlackBerry have given us another sneak peek of their upcoming new Operating System, OS 6.0. As well as on forthcoming devices, the new OS is rumoured to be compatible with some of the more recent BlackBerry devices, such as the BlackBerry 9700 .
