Microsoft Is So Desperate that They Willing to Pay People to Create Apps

We all had heard about Windows Mobile 7 for more than 2 years now, but until now, Windows 7 powered phones are still not in the market. They know that they probably have lost huge market share to Google and Apple. Microsoft is now so desperate to get developers to build apps for its Windows Mobile 7 that they are willing to pay developers to do so. The world’s largest software company is offering incentives such as free tools, test phones, and revenue guarantees. “We are investing a lot to attract developers big and small to Windows Phone 7 to let them understand what the opportunity is and provide as many resources as we can to help them be successful on our platform,” he added.

The day after the World Cup ended I received my copy of B2B Marketing with this lead article African ‘Lions’ ready to roar by Sean Callahan.  The article quotes heavily from the McKinsey Global Institutes article Lions on the move:  the progress and potential of African economies.  I was surprised to see Morocco & Tunisia

ColorWare offering custom-painted iPhone 4 with antenna fix

The folks over at ColorWare are at it again, this time offering their custom color design services for the iPhone 4 . The interesting bit here, though, is that while they aim to make your iPhone 4 more stylish, they are also in the process of confirming that letting them add a bit of style to your device will also solve any death grip antenna woes you may be experiencing. Now, a $29 Bumper Case from Apple will do the same thing, and that’s a hell of a lot cheaper than the $250 ColorWare will charge you while also offering protection from damage—however, some of us choose style over function, and that antenna fix is just a nice value-added bonus to getting a spiffed up custom device. Cartoon Roach Has Smashing Fun

If you ran to the whack-a-mole booth when visiting a favorite arcade or just love to squash insects then Cartoon Roach may be just the game you need. It is one of those games with a fun, simple concept that makes for a great time killer; the object is to go nuts smashing roaches as they scurry across the screen. But you can’t get too crazy because some of them are “good” roaches and squashing them will spell your end. The more roaches you smash earns additional weapons and tools. After a few smashes you will notice golden stars accumulating at the bottom of the screen — now shaking the device will kill off all evil roaches

So while you’ll have to wait until Sunday to get your hands on one, we were able to get an early look at the device thanks to AT&T, and while our review is forthcoming, we put together an unboxing gallery showing off the device

The iPhone Killer

The term ‘iPhone killer’ has been applied to many handsets, as manufacturers have strived to produce a mobile phone that matches the market appeal of the Apple iPhone. And, although there are many worthy alternative handsets available nowadays, none have really achieved the status of the ‘iPhone killer’. However, that may be about to change, and the contender for the title is a handset that no one could have predicted just a few weeks ago….. ….We’re talking about the iPhone 4
