High quality Blackberry Bold 9800 slider pics, BB OS 6 video walkthrough pop up in China

Research in Motion was never too big on trying new form factors for their Blackberry devices. Sure, RIM  might be playing with some pretty far out things on drawing boards in R&D labs, but when it comes to actual Blackberry devices, they are extremely conservative. Wide or traditional candybar form factor is the way to go. But even RIM has to try something new sometimes

Android 2.1 Motorola phone for MetroPCS leaked

MetroPCS doesn’t have any Android devices at the moment, but Motorola could solve this problem soon, with a new Moto Cliq -like smartphone. The unannounced smartphone seems to be running Android 2.1, it has a 4-row QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen of unknown dimensions (around 3 inches), and a weirdly-positioned home key. According to AndroidGuys , the new Moto Android handset will come with MotoBlur, a 3MP camera, and a 600MHz processor. It’s not a high-end phone, that’s for sure, but this ain’t that bad, because it will allow MetroPCS to sell it for a low price. The new Motorola Android phone will probably be available in the second half of the year, when MetroPCS plans to launch its 4G / LTE network, and its first LTE phone – the Samsung r900 .

Motorola FlipOut with MotoBlur Review

The seemingly unstoppable march of Android devices continues, with yet another Android device being announced, this time we have the Motorola FlipOut with MotoBlur . It’s one of the strengths of the Android OS, that it is not tied to any one particular manufacturer. Whereas Apple have their iPhone OS, and Symbian is found more often than not on Nokia devices, Android has products from Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, Motorola , and lesser known names such as Huawei, Dell, Acer and Asus. The wide variety of manufacturers also brings a lot of creative thinking to these products, and whilst the traditional PDA look is the most common, there are a few devices that offer something a little different in the style department, and the Motorola FlipOut certainly comes under that heading. The shape of the FlipOut is square, with the phone measuring 67mm up and 67mm across

Is this the Modu T-Phone? (update: yes!)

Is this the Modu T-Phone? (update: yes!) Modu reminds us a bit of Neonode back in the day — their products are virtually impossible to find and you don’t hear about them terribly often, but when you do , it’s almost always interesting news. We’d heard last year that the company would be following its first model with a touch-centric device , and TheGadgetSpot seems to have the straight dope on the new unit, said to be called ‘T-Phone’ with a full touchscreen and a 3G radio

GSM HTC Hero Finally Starts to get Android 2.1

GSM HTC Hero Finally Starts to get Android 2.1 The HTC Hero, which was initially launched in Europe back in 2009, was the flagship device to showcase Android 1.5. For all intents and purposes, it was the next best thing to sliced bread at the time, and it was only made better by HTC’s customized Sense User Interface (UI).

LG Sentio, dLite, and GS170 Bring LG to T-Mobile for the First Time

LG Sentio, dLite, and GS170 Bring LG to T-Mobile for the First Time T-Mobile’s no slouch when it comes to handsets. They’ve managed to pick up quite a few high-profile devices over the years (HTC G1, HTC HD2, Google’s Nexus One (also manufactured by HTC)), but there’s been one hardware manufacturer out there that’s been notoriously absent from T-Mobile’s line-up. LG. But, as today marks an official announcement from both companies, it’s looking like LG is hitting the magenta carrier with a bang, as they’re planning to offer three new handsets come this Summer

More Awfully Good Looking Pictures Of The BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider Hit The Web

CrackBerry has probably the best looking pictures of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider , rumored to hit AT&T by months end, to hit the web yet.  I have no intention on moving to AT&T to get this device, however, I must say what an awfully good looking device the Bold 9800 Slider is. If the June release rumors are true, we should, unless Apple AT&T is going the Verizon route and officially announcing the Bold 9800 Slider less 24 hours before the time of it’s release, start to hear official word on this device any time now. The TV is the next step for Google and Apple to put their ads

Overall, the Google TV looks very good and would be a great product, but will still be complex and hard to understand, because it uses the Android software.  On the other hand, the Apple TV will be easier to use, cheaper and much more attractive. At this moment, Apple knows everything that the customer wants regarding gadgets, the software and applications that they can use on them, unlike Google, which only knows everything that it is to know about the Internet. The Apple Company doesn’t care about what the customer thinks, they just simply release a gadget that is easy to use by everyone, especially for those who don’t know how to use a computer.  There are rumors that the new Apple TV will not have Ethernet. If you don’t know, the Ethernet can work faster, and it’s more reliable, but this is one of the reasons why Apple is so successful.  They make these decisions for the customer and their successful. Even if the Apple TV has about as many features as the Google TV, at this point it doesn’t really matter

I’m guessing it was in response to the drama around their exclusion of Flash.  “Every new Apple mobile device and every new Mac — along with the latest version of Apple’s Safari web browser — supports web standards including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Samsung Restore m570 arriving at Sprint on June 6

Today is a very big day for Sprint, as the third largest US carrier has just launched the HTC EVO 4G – the world’s first 4G Android phone. Perhaps that’s why it was Samsung, and not Sprint, that announced the June 6 availability of the Samsung Restore m570 (a device that will get considerably less attention compared to the EVO). The Restore is Sprint’s latest eco-friendly phone (following the success of Samsung Reclaim), and it comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, as well as an alphanumeric one. The handset is 84% recyclable and features a QVGA display, Sprint Navigation, stereo Bluetooth, One Click access to social networking sites, 2MP camera, and MicroSD card slot. Sprint will sell the Samsung Restore for $49.99 with a new 2-yr agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate
