Simple Adapter Turns Your Tripod Into A Laptop Stand (Monopods Need Not Apply)
By Andrew Liszewski At first glance I worried that this adapter plate from Thanko that allows you to perch your laptop atop an unused tripod could lead to a nasty fall, turning your expensive hardware into a pile of unusable electronic bits. But I guess professional photographers do the same thing with high-end DSLRs that can be considerably more expensive than even the most-tripped out laptops. So it should probably work just fine, as long as you don’t cheap out on the tripod that is

V Lock Key Hole Is Hard To Miss
By Andrew Liszewski If at any point in your life you’ve had a hard time getting a key into a key hole when it’s dark, then you’ll instantly ‘get’ the V Lock concept designed by Junjie Zhang. The rendered mockup and gratuitous use of arrows makes it easy to understand why the V Lock is a vast improvement on the standard deadbolt design, though unfortunately since I can’t see how this approach would work with a flush mounted keyhole, it doesn’t seem applicable to car doors where it would probably be most appreciated. Hands-on with the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide
In a perfect world, every phone would be like the T-Mobile MyTouch Slide. It’s small, it’s light, it has a keyboard, and it’s easy enough for almost everyone to use even if it’s running one of the most powerful mobile OSes out there. Built by HTC to T-Mobile’s specifications, the MyTouch Slide with full QWERTY keyboard is, in actuallity, one of the best feature phones I’ve seen in a long time. The second in T-Mobile’s MyTouch line, the Slide adds a keyboard and a unique user interface to the mix. Instead of My Faves, the phone allows you to create “cards” for each of your favorite contacts

Although the Courier is dead as a device itself, it will live on in parts. Microsoft’s Bill Gates said the following regarding the abrupt halt of the Courier: “Microsoft has a lot of different tablet projects that we’re pursuing, we think that work with the pen that Microsoft pioneered will become a mainstream for students. It can give you a device that you can not only read, but also create documents at the same time.” This device, according to the videos floating around the web, was made for content creators.
