The Supreme Court of Ohio Board of Commissioners on Grievance and Discipline issued Opinion 2009-6 on August , 16 2009. The Opinion concludes that the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct do not prohibit an Ohio lawyer from outsourcing legal services domestically or overseas. There is little novel in the Ohio Opinion, however, it does a reasonable job of bringing together some of the key ethical issues raised by earlier Opinions released by the ABA and various State Bar Associations. The most interesting discussion point that I gleaned pertains to the current modus operandi within law firms of engaging with, and subsequently marking up the cost of domestic based contract attorneys, and the lack of disclosure of this practice to clients.

I am frequently asked by enterprise IT groups about ways to control user access on Windows Mobile devices, restricting use to only “business-critical” applications. While there are any of a number of ways of managing this, having a “kiosk-mode” type functionality that only displays shortcuts would typically be the easiest implementation from a device management perspective. Though not strictly part of the Nokia Creative N86 review, I just had to post this video. If you’re sat in a dull office watching your coffee going cold, be sure to feast your eyeballs on this! James recently got to Bungee jump over the Victoria Falls and being the mobile fiend that he is James opted to record the entire experience using his Nokia N86 8MP. Yes there’s some frame tearing, the compression is struggling to make sense of what’s flashing by and the colours are a little off, but hey, considering the circumstances I think the N86 did Mr. Whatley proud! Good work James, that’s a hard act to follow dude!
